ROLLING KITCHEN | As we welcome the year 2026, the Rolling Kitchen continues in partnership with the Canossian Daughters of Charity – Paco Manila and Loaves x Fish Foundation, Inc., providing nutritious, ready-to-eat meals to 200 PSDS.

This January, PSDS themselves helped repack and distribute the meals to fellow PSDS in Paco Park, Kalaw, Lawton, Malate, and Ermita, demonstrating solidarity, dignity, and shared responsibility. This collective effort began in November 2025 and continues today, aiming not only to provide food but also to strengthen compassion, care, and sense of responsibility within the community. We are deeply grateful to our partners for their ongoing service and commitment to our beloved PSDS.

Lubos ang aming pasasalamat sa bawat pusong nakiisa at nagbigay-daan sa maisakatuparan ang Himig ng Pag-Asa: Mula Sabsaban Patungong Lansangan, isang fundraising concert para sa ating mga kapatid na namamalagi sa lansangan. Ito ay matagumpay na ginanap noong Disyembre 20, 2025, sa Santo Cristo del Tesoro, Santa Isabel College of Manila.

Sa gabing iyon, ang himig ng pag-asa ay naipadama sa kanila sa pamamagitan ng musika - mula kay Hesus sa sabsaban, patungo sa mga lansangan kung saan nananahan ang ating mga kapati hatid ang liwanag, kagalakan, at pag-asa.

Taos-puso naming pinasasalamatan ang aming mga katuwang na institusyon - Adamson University, Santa Isabel College of Manila, Santa Maria Goretti Parish, Scholars of Sustenance Philippines, at ang Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Manila sa kanilang inihandog na serbisyo at kawanggawa.

Maraming salamat din sa lahat ng nagbigay ng tulong pinansyal at mga donasyon. Ang inyong kabutihang-loob ang patuloy na nagbibigay-buhay sa aming mga adbokasiya at programa para sa ating mga kapatid na PSDS.

𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 | 𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐒𝐋𝐀𝐂𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐈𝐍 𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐀𝐏𝐎 𝐁𝐄𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐒 𝐀 𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐄𝐑 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐍𝐀𝐊𝐄𝐃 𝐁𝐑𝐔𝐓𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐘

The recent actions of the Manila Department of Social Welfare unravel a stark and troubling inconsistency between the values it publicly professes and its actual practice. When measured against the government’s core values on social services and development engagement, its conduct is not only dismal and disappointing but undeniably a failure. Such a disconnect between principle and action undermines public trust and calls into question the very commitment of the office to serve and protect the dignity of the most vulnerable. A vision that claims to serve all Filipinos cannot remain legitimate while systematically insulting and abandoning the rights of those forced to live at the margins of society.

We strongly denounce inhumane treatment, discrimination, and oppression that strip our beloved persons in street-dwelling situations or PSDS of their dignity.

The Traslación calls us to find Christ among the poor and journey with them, not to remove those in the margins.

𝐏𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐊𝐈𝐏𝐀𝐌𝐔𝐇𝐀𝐘 | Our student seminarians from San Carlos Seminary Graduate School of Theology, in their pakikipamuhay with our PSDS, discovered for themselves a certain wisdom that only God's beloved poor could offer.

The seminarians allowed themselves to be evangelized and taught by the PSDS as they exchanged stories and journeyed together. As future shepherds, may they carry this mission forward - to put God's beloved poor at the center of the mission of the Church, beginning with the ministry of presence.

PAKIKIPAMUHAY

Last Sunday, our students from the Adamson University - Blessed Rosalie Rendu Conference chose to step out of their classrooms and learn from society's best teachers and evangelizers - our beloved PSDS.

They discovered how love and compassion begin with presence. The students and PSDS shared tears and laughter, exchanged stories, and journeyed together, engaging in simple yet meaningful encounters.
