In this Gospel, Jesus asks His disciples, "Who do you say that I am?" This question is also meant for us today. It makes us reflect on our relationship with him and challenges us to think about how we show our faith in our lives.

The lives of Saints Peter and Paul remind us that God can use anyone, even those who are not perfect. Peter denied Jesus, and Paul once persecuted Christians, yet both of them became faithful followers and powerful witnesses of God's love. Their stories teach us that our mistakes and weaknesses doesn't define us at all because God can transform us and lead us to something greater.

This Gospel reminds us that following Jesus is not always easy, but when we trust Him and remain faithful, he will guide us and strengthen us through every challenge we face.

In this gospel, Jesus reminds us that we do not have to live in fear because God knows and cares for each one of us. There are times when we become afraid of being judged, rejected, or facing difficulties, and because of these fears, we sometimes hide our faith or stay silent when we know what is right.

Jesus assures us that we are precious in God's eyes. If He cares even for the smallest joy, then he surely cares for us even more. We are never forgotten, and we are not alone in our problems.

As a devoting catholic, we are called to trust God more than our fears and to have the courage to show our faith through our words and actions. This Gospel reminds us that no matter what challenges we face, God's love and care for us remain constant.

As we continue our journey as a Minor Basilica, let us deepen our understanding of the Church’s prayer through the Liturgy of the Hours.

We invite all parishioners, ministry members, and pilgrims to join our Monthly Parish Formation on June 20, 7:00 in the evening, as we reflect on the beauty and importance of the Church’s official prayer. Our formation speaker is Rev. Fr. Roderick S. Pacoma, Director and Chairperson of the Commission on Liturgy and Popular Religiosity (CLPR) of the Diocese of Parañaque.

May this formation help us embrace more fully our mission as a Minor Basilica. A center of prayer, worship, and evangelization.

In this Gospel, Jesus tells us that He is the living bread that came down from heaven and that whoever receives Him will have eternal life. His words remind us that true fulfillment cannot be found in worldly things alone. While achievements, possessions, and temporary pleasures may satisfy us for a moment, only Jesus can truly nourish our souls and give us lasting peace.

We shouldalso realize that faith requires trust, even when we do not fully understand everything. The people who listened to Jesus questioned how He could give His flesh and blood, yet Jesus continued to teach them about the gift of eternal life. Even though, there are moments when weface doubts, fears, and uncertainties, but this passage encourages us to trust in God's wisdom and remain faithful to Him.

This Gospel deepens our appreciation for the Eucharist, where Jesus gives Himself to us in a special way. Through Holy Communion, we reminded that Christ is always present, guiding and strengthening us.

In this Gospel, reminds us that God’s love is really endless and genuine. Even when we make mistakes or feel far from Him, He still chooses to love us and never gives up on us. God did not send Jesus to condemn us, but to save us and bring us closer to Him. Sometimes we overthink our failures and feel like we are unworthy, but this passage reminds us that God looks at us with love, mercy, and understanding. The Holy Trinity shows that God is always present in our lives guiding us, comforting us, and giving us strength especially during difficult times. This Gospel teaches us to trust God more and to share the same love and kindness with other people.

𝐉𝐎𝐇𝐍 𝟐𝟎:𝟏𝟗–𝟐𝟑

In this Gospel, the disciples were gathered behind locked doors because they were afraid. And yet despite their fear Jesus came and stood among them, bringing peace and reminding them that they were not alone. And Jesus did not scold them for hiding. Instead, he greeted them with peace, gave them the Holy Spirit, and trusted them with a mission. This reminds us that God often meets us in our moments of fear, and weakness. Like the disciples we sometimes lock ourselves behind walls of anxiety or doubt. But Jesus continues to enter our lives and say, “Peace be with you.” Through the Holy Spirit, he gives us the strength to move forward, forgive others, and live out our faith with courage.
