Today, the University of Santo Tomas celebrates the 415th anniversary of its foundation. The University was founded on April 28, 1611.

On July 29, 1619, the Colegio was authorized to confer academic degrees in theology and philosophy. The Faculty of Sacred Theology, therefore, is as old as the University.

The student body of the UST Faculty of Sacred Theology joins the whole Thomasian community in thanking the Lord for the 415 years of God’s unending grace upon our beloved University.

In gratitude for 415 years of grace, we renew our commitment to “keep us in truth,” in the service of the Church and the nation. Happy Founding Anniversary, University of Santo Tomas!

Happy birthday to our TS Auditor, Bro. Christian Plurad!

Today, 20 April 2026, the Central Board officers of UST Theological Society gathered for a dinner, in thanksgiving for all the beautiful things that have transpired throughout the Academic Year.

We also prayed together for the safe travel and success of our Adviser, Rev. Fr. Jayson Gonzales, OP, as he departs to Rome to complete his doctorate studies in Sacred Theology. We also thank the Lord for the gift of life of Sem. Christian Plurad, TS Auditor, as he celebrated his birthday last Sunday.

Indeed, there are myriad reasons to thank God for!

Maraming salamat, Panginoon, sa isang taong punung puno ng grasya. Lahat ng papuri at pasasalamat ay hinahandog namin sa Iyo. Amen.

The mass wedding, organized by the UST Theological Society, is presided over by Fr. Jayson Gonzales, O.P., of the Priory Of St. Thomas Aquinas.
