🖤 Introducing a new finished project from the ✝️神父 (Shinpu) Collection 🖤✝️

Where East meets West in reverent harmony.
We are proud to unveil our latest creation: a black Gothic chasuble, solemn and striking, edged with gold as a quiet homage to sacred dignity. The yoke is fashioned from a fukuro obi, transforming a garment of Japanese ceremonial heritage into a liturgical crown—woven history resting upon the shoulders of the priest.

This piece marks a new chapter in our Shifu Collection: vestments that speak in silk and structure, tradition and transcendence, crafted for the altar with intention and restraint.

Because beauty, when disciplined by devotion, becomes prayer.

In traditione radicata. Cum moderatione perfecta. Liturgiae digna.

✨✂️ Chasuble Highlight — Silk, Survival, and Sacred Memory ✂️✨

A rare and moving piece: a chasuble made from Japanese silk, likely komon or obi fabric, recovered from a Siberian POW camp (c. 1946) in the aftermath of World War II. A testament to how sacred beauty and faith endured even in captivity.

📍Now preserved at the Museum of the Cathedral of Fulda, Germany.

✝️ 神父 (Shinpu)
Collectio Sacerdotalis
by Christophorus Vestments and Various

A vestment line for the altar, where sacred ministry encounters rare textile heritage.

The 神父 Collection presents priest stoles crafted from traditional Japanese fabrics, chosen for their depth, symbolism, and quiet nobility. These textiles are not mass-produced. Each fabric exists in one stock only, ensuring that every stole remains singular, unrepeatable, and reverently exclusive.
Each piece is made to order, allowing time, intention, and prayerful craftsmanship to shape the final vestment. Once a fabric has been used, it will not return.

All forthcoming pieces under the 神父 — Collectio Sacerdotalis will follow this same discipline: limited, deliberate, and created for sacred service.

In traditione radicata.
Cum moderatione perfecta.
Liturgiae digna.

Christophorus Vestments and Various × Magudarena Kimono マグダレナの着物 ✨🤍

We are grateful to be working once again with Magudarena Kimono マグダレナの着物 on a set of commissioned pieces that bring together Japanese textile heritage 🇯🇵 and ecclesiastical tradition ⛪.
Currently in progress are two stoles, both to be crafted from exquisite Japanese silk 🧵:

One white stole, fashioned from a carefully selected fukuro obi 🤍
One purple stole, created from a uchishiki, rich in texture and liturgical symbolism 💜

Alongside these, we are also preparing a red sticharion, to be made from a striking red uchishiki ❤️🔥, honoring both beauty and function in sacred vesture.
We look forward to completing these orders and to seeing these textiles find new life in prayer 🙏, service, and the sacred rites for which they are intended ✝️.

Ad maiorem Dei gloriam. ✨

✨ IHS Lace Back in Stock! ✨
We’re happy to announce that our IHS lace is now restocked and we are ready to accept projects once again — from altar linens to vestment trims and other devotional textiles.

For those unfamiliar, IHS is a Christogram derived from the first three letters of the name Jesus in Greek (ΙΗΣΟΥΣ). In the Catholic tradition, it symbolizes the Holy Name of Jesus and is often used in liturgical art to honor and invoke His presence.

Send us a message if you’d like to reserve lace or begin a custom project. 🙏✨

We are delighted to present our newest completed project: a beautifully crafted altar cloth made with premium linen—fondly called “gusot mayaman”—paired with an exquisite IHS lace that lends quiet dignity and refinement to the sanctuary.

The lace features the venerable IHS monogram, a Christogram formed from the first three letters of the name Jesus in Greek: ἸΗΣ (Iēs). Through centuries of Christian art and liturgy, the IHS has become a cherished symbol of the Holy Name, calling to mind that every Mass, every prayer, and every offering centers on Christ Himself. Its inclusion on the altar cloth proclaims, with gentle beauty, the primacy of the Lord in our worship.

This piece was created with care, craftsmanship, and prayerful intention—may it enhance the solemnity and beauty of every liturgy it serves.

We are delighted to share one of our latest completed vestments — an alb crafted with a blend of tradition, elegance, and thoughtful textile work.

The upper part is made from dignified brocade, setting a solemn and refined tone. The lower portion features delicate Chantilly lace, lined with a scarlet pongee silk interfacing. This red layer not only adds depth and richness but also ensures that the intricate lace patterns remain beautifully visible during use.

Every detail of this piece was considered with both liturgical beauty and practical craftsmanship in mind.
