📖 𝗔𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗼𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲

𝗧𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗰: The Way to Serve God
𝗧𝗲𝘅𝘁: Romans 12:1–8
𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗲: August 16, 2026

Serving God begins with surrendering ourselves to Him and allowing Him to transform our lives. Romans 12:1–8 reminds us that our service is not merely about what we do, but about offering our whole lives to God and using what He has given us for His purpose.

The message highlighted three important ways to serve God:

1. 𝓢𝓾𝓻𝓻𝓮𝓷𝓭𝓮𝓻 𝓨𝓸𝓾𝓻 𝓑𝓸𝓭𝔂 𝓽𝓸 𝓖𝓸𝓭 — We are called to present our bodies as a living sacrifice, offering our lives, time, abilities, and strength to God for His purpose.

2. 𝓢𝓽𝓸𝓹 𝓒𝓸𝓷𝓯𝓸𝓻𝓶𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓽𝓸 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓦𝓸𝓻𝓵𝓭 — True service requires a transformed mind. Instead of allowing the world to shape our values and decisions, we are called to seek and follow the will of God.

3. 𝓢𝓮𝓻𝓿𝓮 𝔀𝓲𝓽𝓱 𝓨𝓸𝓾𝓻 𝓢𝓹𝓲𝓻𝓲𝓽𝓾𝓪𝓵 𝓖𝓲𝓯𝓽𝓼 — God has given each believer different gifts and abilities. We are called to use these gifts faithfully to serve God and bless others.

True service begins with surrender, continues through transformation, and is expressed through the gifts God has entrusted to us.

May we surrender ourselves fully to God, allow Him to transform our minds, and faithfully use the gifts He has given us in His service.

📖 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲

𝗧𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗰: What It Means to Follow Jesus
𝗧𝗲𝘅𝘁: Matthew 14:25–45
𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗲: August 16, 2026

As we continue our monthly theme of SERVICE, this message reminds us that following Jesus requires more than simply identifying ourselves as His followers. It calls for wholehearted commitment, obedience, sacrifice, and faithful service.

1. 𝓢𝓮𝓽 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓟𝓻𝓲𝓸𝓻𝓲𝓽𝔂 — Following Jesus means putting God first above all things and remaining committed even when obedience requires suffering or sacrifice.

2. 𝓞𝓻𝓰𝓪𝓷𝓲𝔃𝓮 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓦𝓪𝔂 𝓸𝓯 𝓢𝓮𝓻𝓿𝓲𝓬𝓮 — Like a builder who considers the cost before building and a king who prepares before going to battle, we are reminded to approach our service to God with understanding, commitment, and determination.

3. 𝓒𝓸𝓷𝓼𝓲𝓭𝓮𝓻 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓒𝓸𝓼𝓽 — Following Christ requires surrender. Nothing—not possessions, relationships, career, or influence—should take the place of our devotion to Him.

To truly follow Jesus is to place Him above everything and allow our lives to be shaped by His will. Our commitment to Christ should be reflected in the way we serve Him and remain faithful, even when the journey is difficult.

𝗧𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗰: Five Marks of a True Servant

A true servant of God is marked not simply by the act of serving, but by the heart and commitment behind that service. Through the five marks of a true servant, we are reminded of what it means to faithfully serve God and others.

𝟭. 𝗦𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 — Serving God begins with offering ourselves to Him, willingly giving our time, comfort, resources, and self-will.

𝟮. 𝗘𝘅𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 — Our lives can influence others. When we serve faithfully, joyfully, and sacrificially, we become an example for those around us.

𝟯. 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 — A true servant remains ready to obey, respond, take responsibility, and be used by God whenever and wherever He calls.

𝟰. 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 — Service is about people. Following Christ’s example, we are called to value and serve others, whoever they may be.

𝟱. 𝗘𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 — Our service is never wasted or unnoticed. God sees every sacrifice, remembers every act of faithfulness, and promises a reward that is far greater than the recognition of people.

As we continue our monthly topic of 𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗜𝗖𝗘, the dedication of Jesus in the Temple reminds us that a life surrendered to God is a life ready to be used for His purpose.

The Temple was a place where God met His people, where law and grace met through sacrifice, and where life and worship were centered on God. Today, we are reminded that we are the temple of God, Christ is the perfect sacrifice, and our lives can be an act of worship to Him.

Jesus was presented in the Temple with a sacrifice of obedience, pointing us to a life that is surrendered to God’s will. His dedication reminds us that serving God begins with giving ourselves to Him.

True service is not simply about what we do for God; it begins with dedication, obedience, surrender, and a willingness to let Him use our lives for His purpose.

📖 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗔𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗼𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲

𝗧𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗰: The Rendering of Unquestioning Service
𝗦𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲: John 4:34

God calls His people to render service that is willing, faithful, and without hesitation. True service is not only seen through our actions but through a heart that is fully surrendered to His will.

Through the lives of Noah, Elisha, David, Isaiah, Christ, and Paul, we are reminded of what it means to serve God wholeheartedly. Noah obeyed God’s command despite the challenges before him. Elisha willingly followed God’s calling and committed his life to service. David delighted in doing God’s will with a faithful heart. Isaiah responded to God’s call with willingness, saying, “Here am I; send me.” Christ showed the perfect example of unquestioning service through His complete submission to the Father’s will. Paul devoted his life to fulfilling God’s purpose after answering God’s call.

A proper mindset in serving God begins with putting 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭. When our hearts are fully devoted to Him, our thoughts, decisions, and actions reflect His will. As believers, we are reminded that we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, where we will give an account of how we have lived and served Him.
