Florencia Vizconde Tomas founded the Lord’s Servants Choir in December 1983. In 1995, during the 2nd papal mass of Pope John Paul II in celebration of the Quadricentennial of the Archdiocese of Manila, also the World Youth Day; Mrs. Florencia Vizconde Tomas is the Organist while her son Fr. Jose Peregrino Vizconde Tomas was the conductor and assisted of +Fr. The members assemble that consists of t

alented individuals who sing and serve at 8:30am mass at Sto. Niño De Pandacan Parish in Manila. In 2013, after almost three decades of leadership, Mrs. Florencia Vizconde Tomas passed on her legacy to its present Choir Master, Mr. Revin Felipe Delos Reyes.

The Gospel for Pentecost reminds us that the Church begins with the command “do not be afraid. We are reminded that the Church is called to be God’s reconciling presence in the world. This presence says to the frightened hearts, “Have courage and do not fear for God, whose love is everlasting, comes to save us.

As we celebrate this great feast of the Church, fifty days after the resurrection of Jesus, how have we been a sign of reconciliation in our families, in our world, and among people of faith everywhere? Have we been an instrument of God’s peace to everyone we meet? What are the signs that the Holy Spirit is at work in your life at this time?

Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord

In today’s Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord. After his resurrection, Jesus continued to appear to his disciples for a time the standard biblical frame of forty days and then stopped. The ascension of Jesus signals the definitive end of these postresurrection appearances and the commencement of Jesus’s operation from the properly heavenly sphere.

Therefore, to say that Jesus has “ascended” to that sphere of existence is not to say that he has “gone away.” It is to assert, if I can adopt a military metaphor, that he has journeyed to a higher point of vantage, where he can see the entire field of battle and direct operations more efficaciously.

6th Sunday of Easter

This Sunday, we are reminded that God’s love is always active and present in our lives. The coming Holy Spirit gives us strength. We are encouraged to trust that God is with us in every moment.

Building on this, the "Good News" is reaching new people, and the Spirit is moving among them. The psalm invites everyone to praise God for His mighty works. Peter calls us to speak of our hope with gentleness. In the Gospel, Jesus promises the Spirit will be with us forever.

5th Sunday of Easter

On this 5th Sunday of Easter, we are invited to trust in God's teaching and grace, especially during uncertain times. Jesus reminds us, "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Have faith in me just as you have faith in God."

Jesus told his disciples, "I am the way, the truth, and the life." They marveled at this saying but did not understand its meaning. We are Easter people called to change and transformation.

Our faith teaches that, with Christ, we leave behind old ways and embrace new life. This renewal is not optional, but essential, and it connects directly to our trust in God's ongoing work.

Today we remember you with quiet smiles and grateful hearts. Even if you are no longer with us, your presence continues to live on in the songs we sing and in the lives you have touched.

To our forever Choir Master and Foundress of the Lord’s Servant Choir, our dear “Lola Flor”, “Tita Flor”, “Ma’am Flor”. You shared not only your love for music but also your wisdom, patience, and faith. Because of you, we learned to find meaning in every note and harmony in every voice.

As we commemorate your life when you were with us, we honor the legacy you left behind. You will always be our guiding light, our inspiration, and a part of everything we do.
