Offence is your defence that stops you from entering into righteousness-
Get -off -the -fence
and get back into right standing.
It’s time to forgive those you are offended with.
Know this: many never even knew you were hurting, because the sin was always growing within your own heart, not merely from what they did to you, or what was imagined they did to you.
Offence is always your defence.
It is rarely the attack itself that destroys you,
but the agreement you make with the wound weather it be a justified wound or an imagination that's wounding you still its always in the most part your own offence that's destroying you.
Here is the cure: forgive and be forgiven
“For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.”
— Gospel of Matthew 6:14–15
Pray This prayer with me-
Lord Jesus, Heavenly Father, Holy Spirit, help me in my unforgiveness. Lord, help me to forgive.
Lord, I openly declare, Father, that I am sorry for harboring wrong thoughts about other people. Lord, I openly declare that I am sorry, Father, for even entertaining imaginations and wrong thinking, because I do not always know what people have necessarily said or meant. Yet, Lord, I have allowed myself to entertain wrong thoughts.
Lord, I have taken offense in my heart, and so, Father, I do not want that offense any longer, for it is limiting me. It is causing problems within me.
So Lord, I ask You: forgive me. Forgive me, Lord Jesus, and help me in this forgiveness.
Lord, I choose to forgive those, Father, toward whom I have harbored ill-thinking. Lord, I am sorry for it. Father, I set them free.
And Lord, for those who genuinely have hurt me, for those who genuinely have said wicked things about me, and for those, Lord, whose actions have truly set me back or cast me down—Lord, I forgive them also.
Even if they are undeserving, Father, they are still in Your sight. So Lord, I forgive them, Father, and I pray blessings upon their lives. Lord, I pray that they would come into a greater revelation of Your love for them.
And Lord, I ask You, Father, cut me off from every rebuke, every lie, and every word that has laid itself as a false foundation in my heart. Lord, I ask You now, in Your forgiveness, cut these things out of me.
Lord, build in me a new heart. Create in me a new heart—one that is able to walk with You in all the things that I do. Father, let my mind be free and joyful again.
Lord, let this day become worship unto You.
So I thank You, and I trust You.
Lord, I thank You, and I trust You.
Amen.
