❤️GOD'S PLAN OF SALVATION❤️
Introduction:
1. The most important decision which every person should make concerns his/her salvation.
2. The reason is that this decision will determine our eternal destiny. If we are saved, we will be in heaven with GOD forever. If not, we will suffer forever.
I. THE NEED TO BE SAVED
A. We Are All Sinners
- Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of GOD"
B. Sin Leads To Death, Both Physical And Eternal
- Romans 3:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of GOD is eternal life through JESUS CHRIST our LORD".
II. GOD'S PROVISION FOR OUR SALVATION
A. GOD Provided For Our Salvation
- John 3:16 "For GOD so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life".
- Romans 5:8 "But GOD commendeth His love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, CHRIST died for us".
B. JESUS CHRIST Died For Our Sins
- John 1:29 "Behold the Lamb of GOD which taketh away the sin of the world"
- 2 Corinthians 5:21 "For He hath made Him, who knew no sin, to be sin for us, that we might be made the righteousness of GOD in Him".
III. HOW TO BE SAVED
A. By Grace Through Faith, Not Through Our Own Efforts
- Ephesians 2:8,9: "For by grace are ye saved through faith, and not that of yourselves; it is a gift of GOD. not of works, lest any man should boast".
B. By Verbal confession Of Our Faith In CHRIST
- Romans 10:9,10: "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the LORD JESUS, and shalt believe in thine heart that GOD hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation".
Conclusion:
1. Salvation can be received right now. The moment we confess our sin and believe in JESUS CHRIST as our LORD and Savior, we are instantly saved. There will Be no more eternal judgement.
- Romans 8:1 states: " There is therefore now no condemnation to them who are in CHRIST JESUS".
2. But there must be verbal prayer of commitment. How is this done? Here is the copy of "Prayer Of Commitment".
PRAYER OF COMMITMENT
Eternal and Living GOD, I acknowledge and accept that I am a sinner. I repent of my sins. By your help, I now turn away from my sinful ways. I believe that JESUS CHRIST, YOUR Only begotten Son, died for my sins at the cross of Calvary. I now accept and believe that You have forgiven me because I have repented of my sins.
LORD JESUS CHRIST, I believe You are the eternal Son of GOD. I believe You died for my sins and rose again from the dead to give me life everlasting. I believe that by faith in You, I now have eternal life. i now confess that You are my LORD and my GOD.
I seal this commitment in the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
