As we draw to a close in our Prayer and Fasting for this year, let us reflect on the abundance of grace bestowed upon us by our Lord. His boundless mercy and kindness have guided us through this journey, reminding us of the immeasurable blessings we've received, more importantly the sacrifice of Jesus Christ to mankind.

Acts 2:43-47

Throughout the whole week of praying and fasting, we’ve been learning how we mature as disciples of Jesus Christ. And today, one of the most important aspects of our maturity is when we become one with the Body of Christ - His Church. God intends that Christians should have fellowship, should share one another's lives and thoughts and problems — bear one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ. It is not an option; it is an essential.

Four Qualities of A Biblical Community:
1. Devotion - vs.42-43
2. Compassion - vs. 44-45
3. Frequency - vs. 46-47
4. Growth - v. 47b

REFLECTIONS:
1. Have I committed myself to a “connect group” (a small community of my fellow disciples in church) with whom I can share my life journey with?

2. In what ways can I invest more in my relationships with my church community?

3. How can I stay committed to my church community when some offences have been made by either party?

PRAYER:
Father, thank you for placing me in my LJOR community for growth and maturity. Help me to open my heart toward others and toward You. Break down and melt within me the resistance that I erect against others. Make me to be of one heart and one mind with others in the body, generous in giving, glad to participate in anything that advances this marvelous work going on in the midst of a world which is rapidly drifting into darkness and emptiness and coldness. Thank you, Lord, for the warmth of your Spirit, and for your power and your grace among your people. In Jesus name I pray. AMEN. 🙏

John 8:31-32

Day 6 of our fasting devotionals bring us back to the very words of Jesus Christ who said to His disciples that if they obey His word, they are His disciples. The only way to obey Jesus’ word is to know what it is. The more we study the Bible, the more we will recognize His will for us and even discern when someone says something that is contrary to Scripture.

Reasons why we must believe the Word of God is the Truth:
1. It is the only option that make sense.
2. The Bible has proven to be the most prophetically accurate book of all time.
3. Jesus Himself always referred to the Word as the final authority. - Mark 13:31
4. The evidence of how the Word works in people’s lives. - John 8:31-32

REFLECTIONS:
1. As a disciple of Christ, am I truly holding on to His teachings and allowing the truth to set me free?

2. Are people able to “read” the Bible when they watch my life?

3. Do I regard the Word of God as the ultimate authority in my life, worthy of obedience even if it seems inconvenient for me?

PRAYER:
Father God, thank You for the power of Your Word to guide me in all truth. I pray that You will help hide Your Word in my heart, so I may not sin against You. Thank You for Your Son, who brought Truth to the world. I pray that You will help me abide in Him so I may live as an obedient disciple, giving glory to Your name. In Jesus name I pray. AMEN. 🙏

THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT:
1. The Jesus’ MINISTRY didn’t start until He was filled with the HOLY SPIRIT. - Luke 4:1

2. Your RELATIONSHIP with God is built through and dependent upon your relationship with the PERSON of the HOLY SPIRIT. - John 14:26

3. For you to understand how to operate in the SUPERNATURAL POWER of God, you must have the HOLY SPIRIT. - Acts 1:8

REFLECTIONS:
1. How is my relationship with the Holy Spirit? Have I asked Him to take control of my life?

2. Do I listen to the conviction of the Holy Spirit when I do something not pleasing to God?

3. How often do I talk to the Holy Spirit throughout the day? Do I rely on Him like the air I breathe?

PRAYER:
Holy Spirit, You are God. I praise You because You are holy, and I thank You for dwelling in my heart. Thank You for working in my life. You guided me into salvation, renewed my dead spirit, and You opened my eyes to the Truth. Thank You.

Help me to see You more clearly – to recognize Your movement in my life. Make me more sensitive to You so I can follow You more closely. Still, I know that I am selfish and rebellious. I need You to help me be obedient when I recognize Your leading. I need You. In Jesus’ Name. AMEN. 🙏

Passionately Committed to Jesus | Day 4 of LJOR Prayer Invasion 2023
Luke 14:25-33

To be passionately committed to Jesus you must count the cost, it will cost you everything, but if you are willing to follow Him you will gain everything.

A passionately committed disciple does whatever it takes and sticks with it. This will require sacrifice.

REFLECTIONS:
1. Do I live to please God and obey His Word or do I value the opinion of others more?

2. Do I serve God based on conviction or do I just serve when it’s convenient for me?

3. Am I full of gratitude because God’s love never fails or am I full of pride when things go well and full of self-pity when things are not?

PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, Thank You that I am saved by grace through faith in Christ's finished work on Calvary - but Lord I want to be Your disciple and to take up my own cross daily and follow You in humble obedience. I pray that I may willingly submit to Your will in every area of my life and to share in Christ's sufferings, so that I may be continuously transformed by His death into the likeness of Christ, to Your praise and glory. This I pray in Jesus name. AMEN. 🙏

Extraordinary Love For People | Day 3 of LJOR Prayer Invasion 2023
John 13:34-35

God’s Word tells us that we show the world we are disciples when we love the way Jesus did.

FOUR DIMENSIONS OF LOVE:
1. Loving the least - John 3:16
2. Loving the lost - Matthew 18:11
3. Loving cross-culturally - Ephesians 2:14-18
4. Loving my enemies - Matthew 5:43-48

REFLECTIONS:
1. When I look at people each day, do I see their presence as an invitation to love our Lord?
2. Do I have a passion to reach out to the lost and those who have never heard the gospel?
3. How am I reminded of the Lord's mercy whenever I am tempted to hate or despise someone else?

PRAYER:
Lord, You desire that I show an abundance of Mercy to those I encounter every day. Give me the grace to see You in them and to love You in each and every person I encounter. May I have the eyes to see You, dear Lord, and as I discover You in others, help me to open my heart to them, loving them with the Mercy You give to me. In Jesus Name. AMEN 🙏

Reflect today's devotion and know more how we can love others as modeled by our Lord Jesus Christ.
