Yet the cross reminds us that what looks like tragedy can become part of God’s greater purpose.

Have you ever committed a mistake you wish you could take back?

Peter knew what it felt like to fail. He made a promise he couldn’t keep, stumbled when it mattered most, and had to face the weight of his own actions.

But Jesus didn’t define Peter by his failure.

Our mistakes are real, and they can have consequences. But they don’t have the final word. In Christ, there is grace beyond our failures and a chance to begin again.

We all have a plan.

Graduate. Land the dream job. Build a successful career. Find the right person. Get married. Buy a home. Start a family. Serve God. Live a meaningful life.

But somewhere along the way, life takes an unexpected turn.

A promotion never comes. A relationship ends. A loved one gets sick. A dream is delayed. A prayer goes unanswered. We experience loss, failure, disappointment, or uncertainty, and we're left thinking:

“This wasn’t the plan.”

When that time comes, will you still trust God? And how can we learn to trust Him when life doesn’t go according to our plans?
