๐Ÿ™ During a moment of prayer before Jesus, which was more like adoration than simply prayer, St George Preca felt as though Jesus was asking him: โ€œDo you think you are my friend?โ€

๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ‘ฑ๐Ÿฝโ€โ™‚๏ธ Fr George knew that we can never simply presume that we are living in Godโ€™s grace. So, with humility and confidence, he answered: โ€œI do not know whether I am your friend or not. But one thing I know for sure: You are my Brother, and I am yours.โ€ At that moment, Fr George said that a deep peace filled his heart.

๐Ÿฅฐ What a beautiful reminder for us. There may be moments when we question ourselves: Am I good enough? Am I close enough to God? St George Preca points us to something deeper: Jesus has come close to us. He became one of us. He calls us His brothers and sisters.

๐Ÿ‘ Feeling uncertain, unworthy, far from God? Remember this simple truth: Jesus is not a distant stranger. He is your Brother. And you can always come close to Him.

Today is the Twenty-first Sunday in Ordinary Time. โ€œYou are the Christ, the Son of the living God.โ€ God the Father, the source of all wisdom, laid the foundation of our faith through the humble profession of the Apostle Peter. Let us praise God, who enlightens all people with the Holy Spirit, so that they may recognize Jesus of Nazareth as the Son of the living God and become living stones in the building up of His Church.

๐Ÿ˜ฒ "Someone should do something about it!" How often do we say that when we see something wrong at school, in our community, or even online? But here's another question: Could that โ€œsomeoneโ€ sometimes be me?

๐Ÿ—๏ธ God didn't create us simply to watch life from the sidelines. Each of us has a place in society and a responsibility to contribute to the good of others. The Catechism calls this participation: generously doing our part, according to our abilities and responsibilities, to build the common good.

๐Ÿ‘ And we don't have to be adults, politicians, or community leaders to begin. Participation starts wherever we are: taking our studies seriously, helping at home, respecting rules and legitimate authority, standing up for someone being mistreated, caring for our surroundings, volunteering, and using our gifts to serve others.

โš–๏ธThe common good means creating conditions where everyone, not just the strongest, richest, or most popular, has the opportunity to flourish. It requires respect for every person's dignity and rights, concern for people's basic needs, and a commitment to justice and peace.

๐Ÿซก Authority has an important role too. Those entrusted with leadership are called to serve, not dominate, always seeking what is truly good for everyone.
Christian life is never just about โ€œme and God.โ€ Faith sends us into the world to make a difference.

๐Ÿค” This week, ask yourself: Instead of waiting for someone else to make things better, where can I step in, take responsibility, and contribute to the good of others?
