Be careful With Joining A Fellowship

Never underestimate the power of sin. It is very enticing, and its way is very convincing, for it comes to us when we are down and so appealing to our weaknesses. Heb. 11:25 says that the pleasure of sin is only for a season. Yes, sin offers happiness or pleasure to satisfy our wants. Thus, it is very enticing.

1 Pet. 5:8 implies that temptation comes to us when we are weak, when left alone, like Eve in the Garden of Eden, and when not working, like David, seeing Bathsheba where he was supposed to be in the war. That is why James 4:7 says, resist the Devil, and He will flee from you. Ephesians 4:27.

Christ was right in his model prayer, saying, “Lead us not into temptation” (Matt.). 6:13. Sad to say, many do not see this in the fight for the truth to keep the faith pure in the truth. In what way? In not being careful with the fellowship, with the partnership.
In the fellowship, we see a lot of joy because there is the joy of being together.

Fellowship is a partnership, a communion, a mutual support for the common goal. This should make it clear that, not because we are brethren, we are obliged to have fellowship regardless of views upheld in matters of obligation in the faith. The Bible is clear that the Corinthians were told to have no fellowship with a brother living in sin, 1 Co. 5: 8-13. 2 Thess. 3:14-15. Why? A little leaven leavens the whole bread, and evil companions corrupt good habits, 1 Co. 15:33.
Allow me to show these illustrations:

1. The position of a flower pot on the table. The instructions and warnings were given to keep it that way permanently, all the time. Not to change it nor to replace it. After a few days, someone changed it, but those who knew it just remained silent. Later, another movement was made, and those who knew the original position just remained silent to avoid conflict, for they wanted peace and harmony. During this time, there were already new converts or members. They did not see the original position of a pot. Many years later, the majority of the original members were gone, and the few left are already old and sickly. Most of the current members are new, did not see the original position, and are not aware of the instructions and warnings not to change the position or replace it. Then the change has become the practice for a long time. When someone says, " That is not the original position.” Will that be a struggle? It will be one against all. The one teaching the truth, to go back to the old, will be charged with causing a division or troubling the church. This is one principle, I believe, why Abraham was told to leave his home country because his father and siblings were idolaters. God, who was creating a special race out of Abraham, had to take him out of that place.

2. If you see a lot of people drowning, you do not have to remain swimming to save them. You must remain on dry ground/place to save them. You either throw them a rope or a floater to take them out. Do not swim with them when there are many, and you are alone. This is the principle why God told Israel not to marry the seven nations greater and mightier than them, for they will turn them away from God, Deut. 7:1-5. Look at what happened to Israel when they stayed in the place where there was the gathering of the Moabite women. And others, particularly, invited others. As a result, they joined with idolatry, and God became so angry with them, Numbers 25:1-4. The principle is so clear to be very careful not to join any activities that contradict God’s will, and even more to invite some brethren for our leadership will become a bad signal in supporting and joining with errors, and those under us will lead to sin.

The fellowship of sin is powerful, very appealing, very enticing. If we’re not wise in dealing with it, it will lead us to our own destruction and those we lead. Paul said to Timothy, to be careful with the self and the teachings, for if we do these, we save ourselves and those who hear us, 1 Tim. 4:16.

So, why unrighteousness, sin, and lawlessness prevail and abound? One big reason is the fellowship, partnership. We go into it and invite others, instead of not. Since others’ fellowships are greater and mightier, considering they have more activities due to greater resources and funds, and most likely smarter, even those with us become our opponents, questioning our teachings and ways in the congregation.

TRINITY-ONE THREE, NOT THREE IN ONE

The word trinity " is not found in the Bible, but the concept is explicitly taught based on the context and the grammatical construction of the verses in the Bible.

It is about the united three or one three. Not three in one but one three. Meaning, in everything or in all, these three are in harmony. The three-in-one implies united only in a certain thing. The one three is united in all.

To illustrate, the idea about TRINITY is like the oneness of the couple being one body, although two different persons. The same with the church, many members but one flesh. There is only one human race, but many persons, individually. As 1 John 5:7 says, “For there are three that bear witness in heaven; the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit, and these three are one.” This is the reason why we say there is one God. When we say there is only one God, we mean the three are one.

The Father is not the Son nor the Holy Spirit. Plenty of verses in the Bible can attest to that. For example:

• The Father and the Son have different wills, but still are one because there remains unity. Luke 22:42 is when Christ was praying to the Father in Gethsemane before His arrest. It says, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not My will, but Yours, be done.” There are two different wills here, but remains united because one yielded.

• Jesus prayed to the Father in John 17:1. In doing so, He lifted His eyes to heaven. Jesus was on earth during this time. There are two different locations here. The Father is in heaven, and Jesus, being on earth, lifted His eyes to heaven in prayer. And if we consider grammar, understanding the 1st person and the second person is to whom the speaker is talking. The first person is not the second person, and vice versa. From verse 1 to verse 10, note the pronouns " I and You. In John 17:1-10 alone, based on the context and grammatical construction, the Father is not the Son, nor is the Son the Father.

• In Matthew 28:19, Jesus said to baptize the disciples in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Note there is no punctuation mark before the word and. Also, the repetition of “of the” before the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. All these imply that the Father is not the Son, nor is the Holy Spirit the Son. In English Grammar, the “of the” being repeated in different nouns in a sentence indicates separate, distinct differences.

In John 14:26, it says, But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.” The background is that Christ was talking to His disciples before His arrest, trial, and crucifixion. He mentioned the Holy Spirit, being the Helper. The Helper was to be sent by the Father in Christ’s name. Note these pronouns and the sense of person. The words “you” refer to the disciple whom Jesus was talking to-2nd person; the pronoun I, which is Jesus Christ speaking, first person; and He (the Holy Spirit) and the Father, whom the speaker was talking about to the addressee -3rd person.

Remember, we must think of God because He wants us to think of Him. As Isaiah 55:8 says, “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. Hence, think and preach about Him according to His will, so that our presentation of Him reflects what He really is.

The word “one” in the Bible has more than one meaning, even in our conversation. If we consult English Textbooks, and even in the unabridged dictionary, the word’ in the sentence is perhaps used in a cardinal sense, in counting the quantity. Sometimes it is in an ordinal sense, about the position, like this sentence, “You are number one in my thoughts always. “And last, in a harmonical sense, which means being united or in agreement. These truths need to be considered when we understand each verse in the Bible where the word “one” is found.

In Deut. 6:4, we can read, “Hear, O Israel: [a]The Lord our God, the Lord is one! The word one in the Hebrew word s “echad” which in this text implies being united like in Gen. 2:24 that the man and woman are one flesh. The word “one” here in Gen. 2:24 is “echad” like in Deut. 6:4 as being one in oneness or united as one. As shown in John 10:30, where Jesus said, “My Father and I are one.” The word “one” here means united. Please also consider that the word “I” is first person and the “My Father” in the statement is third person. The rule in grammar is very clear that there are two different persons. When we say person, we mean one has their own feeling and their own thinking, not necessarily with flesh and bones. That is why we have the so-called personification in the figure speech.

Yes, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are one, one God. They are two different persons, but they are one, one God.
As we close, allow me to use the number 3. How many 3 do we have in our counting from zero? I do not mean the number of units or pieces in three. I meant, how many three in our counting. The answer is only one. Likewise, there is only one three. As there is only one three, we know the quantity in it. There are three. This is also true with God, in the concept of TRINITY, the oneness of the three different persons in the Godhead.

ANO ANG IBIG SABIHIN NG SALITANG "PASTOR" SA BIBLIA BILANG ISANG MANGGAGAWA SA IGLESIA AT SINO BA SILA?

WHAT IS MEANT BY THE WORD "PASTOR" IN THE BIBLE, AS A WORKER IN THE CHURCH AND WHO ARE THEY?

_____________________________________________________________________
NOTE: Please pardon me for the mistake about saying the Latin word for episcopos is bispos. Here it is, should be, In Greek, the word "overseer" is "episcopos," which in English is "bishop." In Old English, it is "bisceop" which was later adopted as an Ecclesiastical term a leader in the church. The word "bispos" is a plural form of bishop in Portuguese and Spanish
_______________________________________________________________________

In this lesson, our topic is the word "pastor" in the Bible.

The common idea among many is that anyone who preaches the Bible is a pastor. Others think that a pastor is a graduate of a Bible School. Meaning, one is not a pastor unless one is a Bible School graduate. Some think the word "pastor" in the Bible refers to all preachers in the denominations or to non-Catholic preachers.

What is meant by the word "pastor" in the Bible, and who are they?

Let us first take note that the church was not yet established by Christ in Matthew 16:18 because Christ said that He was still to build HIs church by this clause, "I will build my church." The text says, "And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it." Hence, from this event, going back to the Old Testament books, there was no church yet. And so, if we can read the word "pastor" in some versions and translations, particularly in the Old Testament, that is not the pastor in the church or in the New Testament Church built by Christ.

There was no church yet of our Lord when He was born by Mary, during His baptism and when He was talking to Peter in Matthew 16:18.

What is the meaning of the word "pastor"? The word "pastor" is Latin, not a Greek word. Take note that the New Testament was generally written in Greek and partly in Aramaic. Meaning, this word is not originally in the New Testament Greek.

In Greek, it is "poimen," which is "Shepherd" in English. So, if we read the word "Pastor" in our Bible, that is not in the original text. It is taken from the Latin Bible.

Ephesians 4:11 is very clear that not because one is preaching is a pastor or a shepherd. The verse says, "And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers."

Notice the punctuation mark, the comma. The comma here does not modify or specify a certain word. It enumerates the roles or offices in the church: apostles, prophets, pastors, evangelists, and teachers. The construction of the sentence shows that an apostle is not a prophet, a prophet is not an evangelist, and an evangelist is not a pastor. Thus, not because one is preaching is a pastor. Note that in this text, it shows that an evangelist is not a pastor.

If we study this word, "pastor." This is not a title to address a preacher. It is a work or a service. So, as an example, we do not call Juan "Pastor Juan". It should be, Juan, a pastor." Like Timothy, not Evangelist Timothy, but is Timothy doing the word of the evangelist or Timothy, an evangelist. It is like the word "carpenter." We do not say, "Carpenter Juan," but "Juan, a carpenter. This is how the Bible uses the word "pastor," which is "shepherd" in English.

To explain, in Acts 20:17, Paul called the elders of the church. The verse says, "From Miletus he sent to Ephesus and called for the elders of the church." If we continue reading, in verse 28, Paul told the elders, saying, " Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood." Note the word "shepherd.," which is "poimen." in Greek. So, to shepherd or a "pastor" is to feed or to shepherd the flock. Whose work is this? It is of the Elders. In other words, "pastoring" is a work of an elder. It is not a title to address a worker in the church. It is a work.

Another, in Acts 20:28, it is very clear that one of the works of an Elder is as an "overseer" or to oversee the flock, which is the church. Meaning, an elder is not only to feed or the shepherd the flock but also to oversee for they're made "overseers" by the Holy Spirit according to Paul.

in Greek, the word, "overseer" is "episcopos," which in the english is "bishop" In the Old English it is "bisceop" which in later adapted to an Ecclesiastical term as a leader in the church. The word "bispos" is a plural form of bishop in the Portuguese and Spanish language.

To again consider Acts 20:29, bishop/overseer/episcopos is a a work of an elder. It is not a title to address someone as one of the leaders of the church.

To further explains, let us consider 1 Pet. 5:1-2 where Peter considered himself as an elder. In the text, note that he's giving an instruction to his fellow-elders. The verse says, "The elders who are among you I exhort, I who am a fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that will be revealed: Shepherd the flock of God which is among you, serving as overseers, not by compulsion but willingly, not for dishonest gain but eagerly;'" So, an elder is oversee and to shepherd the flock.

Again, the words "shepherd/pastor" and "bishop/overseer" in the Bible are not titles of a preacher or a worker in the church. These are works or services of an elder in the church.

Who are the "pastors"?

in 1 Tim 3:1-7 we can read the qualifications for the work as an overseer/bishop/episkopos. The text says, This is a faithful saying: If a man desires the position of a bishop, he desires a good work. A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober-minded, of good behavior, hospitable, able to teach; not [b]given to wine, not violent, [c]not greedy for money, but gentle, not quarrelsome, not [d]covetous; one who rules his own house well, having his children in submission with all reverence (for if a man does not know how to rule his own house, how will he take care of the church of God?); not a [e]novice, lest being puffed up with pride he fall into the same condemnation as the devil. Moreover he must have a good testimony among those who are outside, lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil."

Remember, an elder is an overseer or a bishop and a shepherd or a pastor. 1 Tim. 3:1-7 mentions the qualification. In the qualification, there are four exclusive qualifications to qualify as an elder for the work as an overseer which are: 1. a husband of one wife; 2. must have children; 3. rule his household well.; and 4 not novice. The rest are a requirement for every Christian.

By 1 Tim. 3:1-7, it becomes clear that "pastor" is an "overseer" Ad to becomes an overseer, the first qualification is must desire a good work or the service as an overseer. The further qualifications are mentioned. This becomes clear that because one is preaching is a pastor. The qualifications to be among the the pastors/bishops/elders are listed in 1 Tim. 3:1-7.

With all the verses given, explained according after the context, a pastor is an elder, a bishop. That not because is preacher is a pastor. That this term is not a title or as an address to a preacher. it a service of an elder it is a work.

HINDI NA TAYO SAKOP SA SAMPUNG KAUTUSAN SA LUMANG TIPAN

WE ARE NO LONGER UNDER THE TEN COMMANDMENTS IN THE OLD TESTAMENT

In this lesson, we will discuss that Christians today are no longer under the Ten Commandments.

To illustrate, we consider the Philippines. During the late President Ferdinand Marcos, Sr., we were under the 1972 Philippine Constitution. Since the late President Corazon Aquino, we have been under the 1987 Philippine Constitution

There were provisions in the 1972 Constitution that are repeated in the 1987 Constitution, such as the Bill of Rights, Freedom of Speech, and freedom of religion. Not because we have this freedom, we observe the 1972. We have these provisions because of the 1987, although they were in the 1972.

Likewise, between the Old and New Testaments. To be specific, between the Ten Commandments and the Law of Christ, which is the New Testament.

Nine of the Ten Commandments are also commandments in the Law of Christ, in the New Testament. Not because we observe the 9 commandments, but we still observe part of the Ten Commandments. The Ten Commandments have all ended, not just part of it. We observe the 9 commandments because they're commanded in the New Testament.

It is such a big blessing that we are now under Christ, not in the Ten Commandments. Because if we're under the Ten Commandments, consider the punishment for violating each.

a. To have no other god-Deut. 13:6-10- (punishment is by death)
b. Making images to bow down to and serve-Exo. 22:20 (punishment is by death)
c. Taking the name of God in vain- Deut. 5:11; Lev. 24:16 (punishment is by death)
d. Desecrating the Sabbath- Exo. 31:14 (death)
e. Disrespecting parents-Lev. 20:9; Exo. 21;15,17.(death)
f. Murder-Exo. 21:12(death)
g. Adultery-Deut. 22:22(death)
h. Stealing-Exo. 22:1-4; 21:16; Lev. 6:1-5(return in full and one one fift to it aside from. Observing the trespass offering)
i. Bearing false witness-Deut. 19:16-21(death)
j. Not to covet-Micah 2:15 cf. Achan and Gehazi’s sin-(curse upon the belonging and into the family)

So, to say that we still keep 9 of the Ten Commandments, do we impose the punishment for violation in each commandment? Good that we are now under the law of Christ, in the New Testament. Because if we violate any of the Ten Commandments, we're given a chance to repent, not by physical death immediately. The truth is, the Ten Commandments, as a whole, have ceased, and we are no longer under the law of Christ, which is the New Testament.

Jesus Christ observed the Ten Commandments when on earth. In Matt.n15:17-18 He said, "Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. " For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled." Yes, Christ came to fulfill the law. To fulfill it, He had to live under it. Gal. 4:4 tells that He was under it. That is why we can think of Jesus Christ, who observed the Sabbath, kept the Passover, was circumcised, and was dedicated as a child in Luke 2. All these were under the Law.

But, Matt. 5:18 teaches that the law has an end. It says, it will end "till all is fulfilled." Verse 17 says Christ came to fulfill it. Did He fulfill it? If think the law continues now, we make Jesus a failure. Jesus fulfilled it all. Hence, the law has ended.

Our so-called "Sabbath Keepers" say that the law here is the Ten Commandments. Well, by this reasoning of theirs, the further we can explain that Ten Commandments has an end and it ended when Jesus has fulfilled it.

The truth is, if we keep the Ten Commandments in our time, we need to impose the punishment to the violators. James 2:10 says, "For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all." If we read before and after the text, one can read that this law is about the Ten Commandments. Meaning, in our time, we cannot really fulfill it. And only Jesus has all fulfilled it.

Jesus when on earth while observing the Ten Commandments, He has some commandments not in the Old Testaments. Like for example the love your enemies which is contrary the Old Law about the eye for an eye and tooth for a tooth. All the commandments of Christ, which are not in the Old Testaments are His Last will. He=b. 9:16-17 says, "For where there is a testament, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. For a testament is in force after men are dead, since it has no power at all while the testator lives." This tells that all of Christ commandments becomes binding after His death, after He has all fulfilled the Law, the Old Testament.

Yes, we are no longer under the Ten Commandments for we are now under the Law of Christ, the New Testament.

ANG BAUTISMO SA MATEO 28:19,20 AT NG MARCOS 16:15-16

THE BAPTISM IN MATT. 28:19,20 AND MARK 16:15-16

So that our understanding of the text is according to the original intention or the purpose of the speaker, we must consider the background of the verses under consideration.

Jesus, during this event, had risen from the grave and was with the disciples before the ascension to heaven. He left a commandment, this so-called Great Commission. which states, "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. Matt. 28:19-20.

This background tells us the Thief on the cross was not subject to this baptism in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit because this commandment had not yet been given at that time. Jesus lived under the Old Testament, during which the religion was Judaism. Our system of faith is Christianity, not Judaism. And the Old Law. Heb. 9:16-17 will tell when the New Covenants, Christ's Last Wills, become binding. So, we cannot use the Thief on the cross to negate the necessity of baptism in Matt. 28:19 and Mark 16:16 for salvation.

Also, the baptism in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit is not the baptism of John where Jesus was baptized. John's baptism has ceased. Acts 19:1-5 is very clear on this. And so, we cannot use Jesus's baptism by John to say the baptism in Matt. 28 and Mark 16 is essential to salvation.

Now, let us proceed with the context of the texts. After telling them that all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Him (verse 18), He commanded His disciples to go to all nations.

In their going, they were to make disciples. The phrase "make disciples" means to make learners or students. This implies that they're going to teach those who can learn and believe. Certainly, they're going to teach infants to learn and believe.

What will they do to the disciples, learners, or students whom they taught? They're to baptize them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

By the context, you will notice the word "them." It is a pronoun, and its antecedent, based on the context, is those whom the apostles preached or taught. Meaning, those to baptize are those whom they'd preached. Again, this negates the idea of Infant Baptism because the candidate for baptism is he who has been taught or a learner.

Although we read "all nations," this does not include the infants because the context implies that disciples were to go to different places to make learners or students, implying going to those who can learn and believe to become learners or students.

To further understand this, Mark 16:15-16 can help. This is with the same background, and so with context. This is after Christ's resurrection and near His ascension to heaven.

In Matt. 28:19 it says, Go. Mark 16:15 is the same. Matt. 28:19 says, "make disciples of every creature." Mark 16:15 says, "preach the gospel to every creature." Mark 16;15 mentions what the apostles were to preach or teach in the making of disciples, and that is the gospel.

In Mark 16:16 says, "He who believes and is baptized." Matt. 28:19 says, " baptizing them." The pronoun "them" refers to those who have become students of the apostles in their preaching of the gospel. so. Those to baptize are those who believe.

Again, these texts do not support Infant Baptism because the candidate for baptism has been taught the gospel and believes it. The infant cannot believe.

To further explain that the candidates for baptism are those who can believe, we also consider verse 20. It says, "teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” We, again, note the pronoun "them." This "then" are those who have been baptized and are disciples by the preaching of the apostles. This "them" were to be taught "to observe " all that Jesus had commanded.

"Make disciples" and "teach them all to observe all things" fully implies that the candidates for the baptism in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of Holy Spirit are those who can learn, believe, and obey. It thus excludes infants.

With these two verses, it is also clear that those baptized were those who believe for it says, "He who believes and is baptized will be saved." Of course, those who do not believe in the gospel, who do not believe in the instruction by Jesus Christ will not submit to baptism and therefore, is condemned.

ANG DAKILANG KAHALAGAHAN NG MGA INA/ANG BABAE AY MAKAPANGYARIHAN AT PANTAY SA LALAKE

THE GREAT WORTH OF A MOTHER/WOMAN IS POWERFUL AND EQUAL TO A MAN

Mothers are so powerful that they are multi-talented. They are full of patience. Imagine carrying the baby for 9 months inside the womb. Usually, it is the mother who stays overnight to attend to the baby’s needs, while the husband needs to rest for the work the following day

A mother’s worth is incomparable, immeasurable, and priceless, which, considering their economic value, demands the highest salary if paid, as a full-time mother. Sad to say, many husbands do not see these. Psychology and history reveal that the mother-child relationship, or motherhood, is very critical in molding a child’s personality.

They performed numerous roles that, when passed to the husband, the husband cannot handle. I experienced that when my wife was away for two weeks, taking care of our three children. You wake up early in the morning to prepare food for them. I had to wake them up and help them in getting ready for school. While they have breakfast, you pack their food for lunch. Then drive them to the school. After that, you go back to wash the dishes and clean the house. Just then, do the work for a while. Prepare their food for supper. Then get them from school. Well, it was not that easy.

With these roles as a mother, who said women are inferior to men and not powerful? They are not inferior to man and are indeed powerful.

Women are not inferior to men. God did not make them that way. They were made to be a partner, a help-mate to man, but not made lesser than man.

Men and women are equal. They differ in roles.
The idea that they are lesser than men is not according to God’s design for them. In fact, they plenty of abilities that men are not capable of.

• Anatomically, there are some positions women can do that men can't, such as the chair challenge and the balance challenge. To see how, there are plenty of these on social media to check.
• Biologically, only we can experience pregnancy, childbirth, and lactation.
• Emotionally, better in emotional intelligence and outperform men.

These are just enough to show that women were made by God not inferior to men.

Yes, they have abilities we men are not capable of.

Women are actually powerful; men must be careful of that, because their presence, physiologically, could destroy good plans; their communication can turn yes to no; and their love can give hope and strength towards reaching the goal.

For example, Eve influenced Adam to eat the forbidden fruit. In fact, in Genesis 2, Adam was first told about that commandment in verses 16 and 17 before Eve was made, in verses 20-22. That is how powerful a woman is.

What about Samson? In Judges 16, Samson was convinced to reveal his secret because of Delilah's annoying behavior, pestering him until he was pressed and vexed to death. Because of love, see how the secret was revealed, which should not have had to be.

Women are so powerful that because of them, the wisest man on earth, King Solomon, left God,1 Kings 11. Abram had acknowledged, as implied, this kind of power women have when he told Eliezer not to allow Isaac to marry a Canaanite woman.

Yes, women can influence men much more when they become mothers. Consider these:

• Rebekkah to Jacob. She had influenced Jacob to lie. Genesis 27.
• Hannah to Samuel, 1 Samuel 1 and 2.
• Loise and Eunice to Timothy, 2 Tim. 1:5

The saying is true, saying, “as the mother goes, so go the nations.” Imagine if our women are not godly. Can we expect a godly wife, a godly mother?

Blessed indeed is he who has a godly wife, a virtuous woman described in Proverbs 21.

Young ladies, what kind of wife would you become, and what kind of influence would you be to your future husbands?

What kind of mother will you be to your children?

To our young men, if we are going to study those happy and successful men, behind all the successes and failures of a man is the kind of woman they chose as their partner in life.

Yes, women, particularly mothers, are priceless, incomparable, of very great worth. God made woman to be his partner. As a partner, God commanded man to love his wife as he loves his own body. For a partner to be encouraged and effective in the role, love and provide her needs, Ephesians 5:23-28.
