St.Matthew Parish Youth Ministry-Jaro, Leyte Religious Organization

We, the parish youth organization of the Archdiocese of Palo, united in the spirit of Christ, commit ourselves to actively pursue a holistic approach to youth ministry, sharing abilities, resources and time at the service of the Church and for the transformation of the society.

1st Central and Eastern Visayas Regional Youth Encounter

Last August 21โ€“24, 2026, our Parish Youth Leaders, Ate Lorica C. Superable (Internal Affairs) and Kuya John Lee R. Glore (External Affairs), were among the delegates who proudly represented the Archdiocese of Palo at the recently concluded 1st Central and Eastern Visayas Regional Youth Encounter, hosted by the Diocese of Tagbilaran at the Mercedarian Retreat House in Dauis, Bohol.

This meaningful gathering brought together young people and youth leaders from different dioceses across Central and Eastern Visayas, providing a beautiful opportunity for fellowship, formation, sharing of experiences, and deeper reflection on our mission as young people in the Church.

May this encounter inspire us to become more committed, courageous, and faithful in serving the Lord and His people. May the friendships formed, lessons learned, and experiences shared in this gathering continue to strengthen our ministry and inspire us to become witnesses of faith, hope, and love in our parish, communities, and beyond.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude, most especially to our Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Romel M. Apurillo, MAT, MAPsy, RPsy, and our Parochial Vicar, Rev. Fr. Jan Raymond S. Ramos, for their unwavering support, guidance, and encouragement to our Parish Youth Ministry. We also express our sincere gratitude to our Parish Pastoral Council and Parish Finance Council for their generosity, support, and assistance in making this participation possible. Your trust in our young leaders continues to inspire us to serve with greater dedication and love.

And, of course, to the members of the St. Matthew Parish Youth Ministry, thank you for your prayers, encouragement, and constant support. This journey is not only for those who were able to attend, but for our entire youth ministry. May this experience remind us that wherever we are and whatever role we have, we are one community, one family, and one ministry united in Christ.
