We respectfully inform the public that the Albay Provincial Persons with Disability Affairs Office (APPDAO) operates from 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗧𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆, 𝟳:𝟯𝟬 𝗔𝗠 𝘁𝗼 𝟲:𝟯𝟬 𝗣𝗠.

In this regard, all clients and stakeholders are encouraged to plan and complete their transactions within the stated office days and hours.

(Legazpi City, April 15, 2026) Nagsagawa ng Provincial Dialogue on Strengthening Roles, Coordination, and Participation of Persons with Disabilities Stakeholders in Albay ang Pamahalaang Lokal ng Albay, sa pamamagitan ng Albay Provincial Persons with Disability Affairs Office nitong ika-13 ng Abril sa Governor’s Guest House sa Legazpi City.

Ito ay nagsilbing mahalagang plataporma upang talakayin ang mga napapanahong isyu, matukoy ang mga sunod sunod na hakbang, at mapalakas ang kakayahan at partisipasyon ng PWD sector.

Sa pamamagitan ng talakayan at mga gawain hinggil sa partisipasyon at collaboration, pinagtibay na ang inklusibong pag-unlad ay nagsisimula kapag nagkakaisa ang mga stakeholders, napapalakas ang boses ng bawat isa, at nabibigyan ng pagkakataon ang mga Persons with Disabilities (PWDs).

Ang nasabing hakbang ay bahagi ng pagsusulong ng mas maayos na collaboration, aktibong partisipasyon, at empowerment ng PWD sector sa Albay.

For Holy Week this year, our apostles are persons with disabilities. In the Mass of the Lord’s Supper tonight, we are reminded that the Lord chooses, calls, and entrusts his mission to each person.

Our brothers and sisters in the Persons with Disabilities Ministry are not only recipients of care—they are part of the Church’s life and service, walking with us and ministering with us.

Grateful for their presence, their witness, and their place at the table.

Today is World Autism Awareness Day. Autism is a developmental condition that shapes how a person communicates, relates, and experiences the world, including how they respond to sensory input. It is not an illness, and it is not something that needs to be removed, but something to be understood.

There is no single way to be a person with autism. Some communicate verbally, others use different ways of expressing themselves. Some live independently, others benefit from consistent support. Each person’s experience is real and deserves to be met with respect.

Awareness matters, but it becomes meaningful when it leads to understanding in daily life—when we show patience, when we avoid quick judgments, and when we create spaces where people feel safe to be themselves.

A more humane community begins with how we treat one another. Today is an invitation to learn, to listen, and to recognize that every person with autism already has a place among us.
