โหโก "Jesus said to his disciples: "You have heard that it was said, You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy. But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your heavenly Father, for he makes his sun rise on the bad and the good, and causes rain to fall on the just and the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what recompense will you have? Do not the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet your brothers and sisters only, what is unusual about that? Do not the pagans do the same? So be perfect, just as your heavenly Father is perfect."
----------ยฐหโง In this passage from Matthew 5:43 - 48, Jesus sets an example for us to go beyond our borders and learn how to love everyoneโ including our enemies. Despite the hatred and spite we feel towards them, the idea of loving others emphasizes the unconditional love God has for us; in order to set us apart from the rest, we must learn how to love one another, no matter how hard it is to forgive. In a world where we are surrounded by sources of evil and temptations, what could be a possible solution other than to love and forgive the people who wronged us? Choosing who to love is merely an act of self-interest, whereas loving everyone is being selfless, reflecting Godโs universal love for us.
I believe that in order to be perfect just as He is, we must slowly adapt to His teachings and actions, such as loving others in our own little way. Letโs take a moment to reflect on our own hearts and hear that call from within ourselves; itโs time for us to break the cycle of hatred and embrace each otherโs flaws, for this is what makes our world a beautiful place. In every negative situation we encounter, letโs respond with love, forgiveness, and prayer for we are stronger together. As we carry on with our lives, may we always strive to see the good in others and value their gifts and talents, for we are all created by God in his image and likeness; once again, we are reminded to be just like our Heavenly Father who loves and forgives us despite every flaw we make.
