Today's Gospel Reading from Matthew 15:21–28 reminds us of the Canaanite woman’s strong and humble faith as she persistently asks Jesus to heal her daughter. Her faith teaches us not to give up when our prayers seem unanswered. We should continue to trust in God’s mercy, knowing that He hears us and will respond in His perfect time.

𝐒𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 | SEEDS Chorale 4:00pm Sunday mass service at Our Lady of Lindogon, Simala Shrine, Sibonga, Cebu for the 19th Sunday in Ordinary Time. The holy mass was presided by Rev. Fr. Glen A. Vergara.

Today’s Gospel from Matthew 14:22–33 reminds us of Jesus walking on the water and calling Peter to step out in faith. When Peter became frightened by the strong wind and waves, he began to sink, but Jesus immediately reached out and saved him. The lesson is simple yet powerful: when we keep our eyes on Jesus, we can face even the storms of life with courage. When fear makes us lose focus, we need only reach out to Him, for His hand is always ready to save us. “Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid.”

The shrine is already coming alive with vibrant colors of flags and beautifully adorned tarpaulins, filling the grounds with a joyful and festive spirit as preparations begin for the Birthday of Mama Mary next month. Every color and every decoration seems to echo the love and devotion of her children as we eagerly await this beautiful celebration in honor of our Blessed Mother.

SEEDS Chorale 6:00pm 1st Saturday of the month, Anticipated mass service at the Cebu Archdiocesan Shrine of Saint Pedro Calungsod for The 18th Sunday in Ordinary Time.

The Holy Mass was presided by Rev. Fr. Alden John Baran - Shrine Rector.

Today's Gospel (Matthew 14:13–21) tells the story of Jesus feeding the five thousand. When He saw the large crowd, He was moved with compassion, healed the sick, and miraculously multiplied five loaves and two fish so that everyone had enough to eat, with baskets left over. This Gospel reminds us that God can do extraordinary things with even our small offerings when we place them in His hands. The lesson we can learn is to trust in God's providence, show compassion to those in need, and generously share what we have, knowing that even simple acts of kindness can become great blessings through God's grace.

SEEDS Chorale 10:00am Sunday mass service for the 17th Sunday in Ordinary Time at Our Mother of Perpetual Help Parish, Babag, LLC. The Holy Mass presided by Rev. Fr. Leonardo 'Jojo' Ocenar, MSC.

In today's Gospel (Matthew 13:44–52), Jesus reminds us that the Kingdom of Heaven is the greatest treasure we could ever find—more valuable than wealth, success, or anything this world can offer. Like the man who sold everything to buy the field with the hidden treasure and the merchant who gave up all he had for the priceless pearl, we are invited to put God above all else, trusting that every sacrifice for Him is worth it. The parable of the net also reminds us that while everyone is invited into God's Kingdom, our daily choices determine whether we truly live as His disciples.

In today's Gospel of Matthew 13:24–43, Jesus uses the Parable of the Wheat and the Weeds to explain that while God sows goodness in the world, the enemy sneaks in to sow evil, leaving both to grow closely intertwined until the final harvest. The master's refusal to prematurely pull up the weeds reveals God’s profound patience and mercy; He allows them to coexist to protect the good wheat, giving everyone the time and grace needed to repent and change.

This passage reflects the messy reality of our world and our own hearts, reminding us that final justice belongs solely to God, while challenging us to focus less on judging the "weeds" around us and more on nurturing our own spiritual growth through trust and persistent goodness.
