SEEDS Chorale 10:00am Sunday Mass service for the 461st Annual Fiesta of Señor Santo Niño de Cebu at Our Mother of Perpetual Help Parish, Babag, LLC with it's 2026 Fiesta Señor theme: 'In Santo Niño, We Are One'

The theme reminds us that despite our differences, we are united through our devotion to the Holy Child. In Him, we find a shared identity rooted in faith, humility, and love, calling us to live as one community guided by Christ.

𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐚 𝐝𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐨́𝐧

Earlier at 12 midnight, we are grateful to have served at the Misa de Traslación of Señor Santo Niño de Cebu, together with the images of Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe de Cebu and Patrocinio de San Jose de Mandaue, held at the Nuestra Señora de la Regla Parish National Shrine.

Traditionally, the Traslación is a two - day celebration right after the 'Penitential Walk with Mary' held on the 9th day of the Novena - Mass. This year, however, the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño de Cebu introduced a meaningful change by extending it to three days, which now begins on the 8th Novena - Mass to give the faithful more time to venerate the images of the Holy Family. Multiple Masses were celebrated at the National Shrine of Virgen de la Regla, with parishes under its vicariate assigned to each Mass.

Our home parish, Our Mother of Perpetual Help – Babag, was blessed to be assigned to the 12:00 AM Mass. With joyful hearts, we offered our voices in songs of praise to the Holy Child, Señor Santo Niño.

After the final blessing, a traditional Sinulog dance was beautifully offered, led by our Mass presider and parish priest, Rev. Fr. Leonardo Ocenar, MSC.

In celebration of Fiesta Señor 2026, the Nuestra Señora de Regla Parish National Shrine (the Mother Parish of Lapu-Lapu) will be visited by the Holy Family: the Santo Niño, Saint Joseph, and the Virgen of Guadalupe.

During this sacred visit, our very own Our Mother of Perpetual Help Parish has been assigned to lead the Eucharistic Celebration on Saturday, January 17, at 12:00 AM. This Holy Mass will be held at the Nuestra Señora de Regla National Shrine and will be presided over by our Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Leonardo "Jojo" Ocenar, MSC.

We warmly invite all our parishioners to join us at the National Shrine for this special midnight gathering.

Last Sunday, January 4, 2025, we, The SEEDS Chorale gathered at Haniyyah Homes 1 Clubhouse as one joyful family for our Christmas, Year-End Thanksgiving, and Welcome Party for 2026.

With our fun and trending “You’re Not Supposed to Be Here” theme, everyone brought laughter to the room through unexpected outfits, kicked off by a mini fashion show that truly set the mood for the afternoon. Games, exciting prizes, and a sumptuous dinner made the celebration even more memorable.

In the midst of the joy, we paused for a heartfelt tribute to our dear brother, kuya Darwin, who joined our Creator last November 19, 2025. Standing in one circle, we shared memories that reminded us of the love and bond we share as a choir family.

The night also honored dedication and commitment through awards and distinctions- Most Engaged, Most Active, Service Awardees, and our SEEDS Model Awardees from each section.

We ended the evening with a closing prayer, grateful for the year that was and hopeful for the journey ahead—our hearts full, and our memories richer once more.

Yesterday, we had our 6:00pm 1st Saturday of the month - Anticipated Mass Service at The Cebu Archdiocesan Shrine of Saint Pedro Calungsod for the Sunday of the Epiphany of the Lord.

The Epiphany of the Lord celebrates the manifestation of Christ to the nations, symbolized by the visit of the Magi. Guided by the star, the Wise Men recognized Jesus as King, God, and Savior - revealing that Christ came not only for Israel, but for all peoples of the world.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐤 (𝟐𝟎 + 𝐂 + 𝐌 + 𝐁 + 𝟐𝟔)
Before the final blessing, the chalks were blessed to be used in the Epiphany tradition of marking our doors as a sign of faith and protection. The inscription stands for Christus Mansionem Benedicat - “May Christ bless this home.” The numbers represent the year 2026, while C, M, and B also recall the names of the Magi: Caspar, Melchior, and Balthasar. This meaningful practice reminds us to welcome Christ into our homes and to live as witnesses of His light.

SEEDS Chorale 6:00pm first mass service of the year at The Cebu Archdiocesan Shrine of Saint Pedro Calungsod, commemorating the Solemnity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Holy Mother of God and the World Day of Peace, grace - filled way to begin the year.

This solemnity proclaims the ancient dogma declared in 431 AD at the Council of Ephesus, affirming Mary as Theotokos - Mother of God, because the One she bore, Jesus Christ, is truly God and truly Man.

The Holy Mass was presided by Rev. Fr. Jonathan Rubin.

As we open another year, we are reminded that this is the Year of the Lord; a year of blessings, graces, and renewal. He makes all things new, and in Him, we move forward with hope and peace.

We would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to our Shrine Administrators and sponsors from our dinner last night.
