Today, we give thanks to God for the gift of faith as Our Lady of Lourdes Parish is elevated to the honor of a Diocesan Shrine. The Solemn Eucharistic Celebration, presided by Most Rev. Renato P. Mayugba DD, marks a historic blessing for our parish and the entire diocese.

As we embrace this new chapter, may Our Lady of Lourdes continue to guide us closer to Christ. May this milestone inspire every faithful to live out the mission of love, service, and unity, bringing light to the Church and to the world.

On September 07, 2025, the youth of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish joyfully gathered in fellowship to celebrate our Parish Declaration. This blessed day reminds us of our mission to remain united in faith, to serve with humility, and to strengthen the bond of our community through Christ.

With Our Lady of Lourdes as our guide, we commit ourselves to stand firm in our faith and to live out the values of love, service, and unity. Together, we declare that our parish is a home of faith, strengthened, renewed, and empowered for the mission ahead.

This declaration marks a significant milestone in the spiritual journey of our parish and the faithful of the Diocese. As a Diocesan Shrine, the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes will now serve as a spiritual sanctuary for prayer, pilgrimage, and devotion to our Blessed Mother, especially under her title as Our Lady of Lourdes.

Let us come together as one community of faith to celebrate this blessed occasion. Bring your family and friends and join us in giving praise and thanks to the Lord!

IN PHOTOS: Launching of the Jubilee of the Youth 2025 at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish

Today, June 27, 2025, the Parish Office for Youth Apostolate (POYA) joyfully launched the Jubilee of the Youth. Members served as lectors and altar servers during both the 1st and 2nd Masses. After communion, the “Prayer for Young Adult Sons and Daughters” was recited, marking the spiritual heart of the celebration.

Following the second Mass, the youth gathered for a meaningful Bible sharing session, reflecting on the Gospel, sharing personal experiences, and deepening their connection with each other and with Christ. A simple yet heartfelt celebration filled with faith, unity, and purpose.

The Diocesan Office for the Youth Apostolate and Vocations Promotion joyfully invites young adults to the 𝗝𝘂𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 on 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟮, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, at 𝗦𝘁𝗮. 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵, 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗮𝘁, in celebration of the Jubilee Holy Year.

Rooted in the message of Pope Francis in 𝘊𝘩𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘴 𝘝𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘵, this gathering is a call for young people to become 𝗽𝗶𝗹𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗺𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗲—walking with faith amid the realities of anxiety, fear, and uncertainty. The Holy Father reminds us that while challenges may weigh heavily upon us, Christ’s Resurrection assures us that 𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱.

This one-day event is open to young adults 𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝟭𝟴–𝟯𝟵, whether single, married, professionals, single parents, or out-of-school youth. It offers a meaningful opportunity for them to renew their belief in a God who conquers the darkness and overcomes the pain, anguish, and concerns of the world—a reminder that in every season of life, hope in Christ remains steadfast and true.

Each parish is encouraged to send 𝘂𝗽 𝘁𝗼 𝟱 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀, and a registration fee of 𝗣𝗛𝗣 𝟮𝟬𝟬 per participant is requested to help cover the cost of meals and other things needed for the event.

Let us journey together and allow hope to blossom in our hearts as we encounter God, one another, and the joy of being Church comes alive.

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒: 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓

The culmination of this year’s May Flower Festival 2025 was a vibrant and meaningful celebration, beginning with a Holy Mass presided over by Rev. Fr. Ronie Julien Pillos. Following the Mass was a solemn procession of the Marias, Sagalas, and their escorts, each accompanied by a beautifully crafted arch—unique, creative, and a true display of devotion and artistry.

After the procession, the celebration continued with a joyful program and coronation rites, filled with laughter, crowning moments, and graceful dances. It was a night of joy and togetherness.

This memorable event was made possible through the unity, passion, and collaborative spirit of the different committees and officers of our parish, whose dedication brought the tradition to life once again.

In his talk, Fr. Cid focused on the significance and true meaning of the Jubilee Year, emphasizing the important role of the youth and what each one is called to do during this special time.

He also discussed the key elements of the Jubilee—the Jubilee Door, pilgrimage, confession, and indulgence—as essential practices for fully embracing the grace and meaning of the Jubilee Year.

This meaningful gathering not only celebrated the presence of the Youth Cross but also served as a spiritual reminder and invitation. It is our hope that through this experience, the youth will grow closer to the Lord and strengthen their faith as they journey through the Jubilee Year.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Rev. Fr. Ronie for his unwavering guidance during each Barrio Mass, and for his inspiring homilies that truly touched the hearts of the youth. His dedication has played a vital role in encouraging young people to draw closer to God and live out their faith more deeply.

We also sincerely thank Rev. fr. Recz Clifford Cid and the VOYA officers for their invaluable support in organizing the Tangguyob Activity. Their efforts made the event not only possible but also meaningful and impactful for everyone involved.

As the Vicarial Youth Cross concludes its stay at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, we look back with gratitude and look forward with hope—that the youth will continue to grow in faith, love, and service to the Lord, especially during this Jubilee Year.

As the stay of the Vicarial Youth Cross at our parish comes to a close, its visit to Brgy. Calayab marks another meaningful stop in its journey. This cross has united the youth, inspired hearts, and reminded us all of the vital role young people play in the life and future of the Church.
