JUST IN: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is closely monitoring the ongoing situation following military strikes in Iran and other parts of the Middle East. In a statement released today, the Church expressed “profound concern and heartfelt compassion for all those living in harm’s way”, and said it is joining families worldwide in prayer for those affected.

The Church emphasized that the safety and well-being of people is always a priority during such situations. The Middle East is home to thousands of Church members, including students, faculty, and humanitarian service volunteers. Church leaders report that all volunteers serving in the region are accounted for and safe.

The Church noted that they are in regular contact with local leaders responsible for members in the region to ensure continued support and guidance.

This statement comes amid escalating tensions and military actions in the Middle East, where civilians, tourists, and church volunteers remain at risk.

This is a developing story. For updates, visit moronichannel.org.
