Chest 2: “The Treasure of Safety”

Based on The Parable of the Rich Fool, we, humans, have a tendency to choose the less valuable treasures and lack the ability to keep them safe. We even forget or neglect to enrich our relationship with God. 🤷🏻‍♂️

On this day, the VBS treasure hunters (children) are taught to entrust their present and future to Christ and to store their treasures in heaven! 😇✨

The Treasure of Wisdom — The greatest treasure in the universe is the Lord Jesus Christ! He is our Source of Wisdom because He is the Truth, the Wisdom of God, and the Firm Foundation of our Faith. He is our safest hiding place, the One who loves us most, and the real Joy-giver. 💖😍

✨ VBS 2026 is Happening Today! ✨
🗺️Treasure Hunt — Seeking the Riches of Christ 👀

What a joyful and exciting day at Marbel Baptist Church as our young explorers begin their treasure hunt! With hearts full of anticipation, the children are diving into a day of fun, learning, and discovering the true riches found in Christ. 👑🙌🏻

📖 “You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart.” — Jeremiah 29:13

🙏 Let’s cover this day in prayer:
Lord, we lift up every child participating today—may their hearts be open to seek You and find the true treasure in Christ. Bless every teacher and staff with strength, wisdom, and overflowing joy as they serve. May Your presence be felt in every activity, and may lives be touched and transformed for Your glory.

Supporting the church is a sign of love for Christ and commitment to His purpose.

1. Supporting the church strengthens God’s work

God uses the local church to:

* preach the Gospel
* teach the Word of God
* help believers grow spiritually
* reach the lost

When you support your church, you become part of what God is doing.

“Upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”
— Matthew 16:18

Jesus Himself is the builder of the church. Supporting the church means supporting His mission.

2. Supporting the church is serving Christ

When believers serve faithfully in the church, they are not just helping people—they are serving the Lord.

* attending faithfully
* praying for leaders
* using your talents
* giving your time and resources

God sees every act of service done for His house.

“And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together.”
— Hebrews 10:24–25

Faithful support strengthens both the church and the believer.

A strong church is built by faithful members.
A growing church is supported by praying believers.
A blessed church is strengthened by willing servants.
