NINTH DAY OF NOVENA TO SAINT RITA OF CASCIA
Augustinian Nun, Advocate of the Impossible and Help of Those In Need

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Your deep humility, O Saint Rita, and your eminent virtues which from childhood till death and sought to conceal from the world, keeping yourself hidden with Christ in God, were the cause of your elevation to the exalted glory you now enjoy in heaven. But your loving Jesus, whose humility you did perfectly imitate, desired that your beautiful soul entered Paradise, that many miracles were wrought through your intercession, while simultaneously, from far and near, people acclaimed you a saint, a saint have you been proclaimed by the voice of the Supreme Pastor of the Church.

And now, devotion to you is spread throughout the world, and above all the saints you enjoy the privilege of being called the "Saint of the Impossible" to glorify you even on earth. Ah, glorious Saint Rita! What case more desperate than ours, vile creatures that we are, blinded by price, the sins most detested by God and you.
O Saint Rita, obtain for us by your powerful intercession from the eternal ruin into which the proud and rebellious angels fell, that we may be permitted one day to share the glory which you, most humble, Saint, enjoy a glory granted only to the humble. Amen.
