The Joy of the Lord
Tonight, as we gather for our Fun Night, let us remember that real joy doesn’t just come from laughter or excitement, it comes from the Lord. The joy He gives is deeper than happiness; it brings peace to a weary heart and strength to a tired soul.
Jesus reminds us in Matthew 11:28, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” When we come to Him, He replaces our worries with peace and our burdens with joy.
God’s nearness in our deepest pain. When our hearts are heavy and our spirits feel crushed, He draws close with compassion and comfort. God doesn’t turn away from our sorrow — He meets us in it, offering healing and hope. Let this verse encourage you to rest in His presence, knowing that even in heartbreak, you are never alone and His love is stronger than your pain.
Even in challenges, the joy of the Lord keeps us standing, smiling, and believing. It reminds us that no matter what we face, God is with us and that is our greatest reason to celebrate!
So tonight, let our laughter, music, and fellowship be a reflection of the joy that comes from knowing Jesus, the joy that never fades, the joy that fills the heart.
