Elder Glennz-Fort Tuazon from Medicion Ward shared his powerful testimony on how FSY helped him on preparing a mission.

Bago po ako mag-share ng testimony sa inyo, nais ko lamang po i-share na ako po ay magse-serve ng mission sa Philippines Cebu Mission, at masaya po ako at natanggap ko po ang calling ko na ito.

Sobrang thankful ko talaga na naka-attend ako ng FSY, dati kasi feel ko pag sumama ako, parang wala akong makikilala o makakausap na mga youth, pero may sinabi sa Matthew 28:20 ..."and, lo, i am with you always even unto the end of the world."

Alam ko po na lahat ng sinabi ko ay totoo at si President Dallin H. Oaks ang buhay nating propeta, at iniiwan ko po ito in the sacred name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Elder Cervantes from Pamplona Ward shares his testimony on what he learned from FSY and how it helped him preparing on a mission.

Before FSY, I felt very lost. I felt alone; my mind was clouded with doubts and fears. I felt unworthy. It made me very hesitant to join FSY. One of my closest friends, who is also like a brother to me—shout out sa'yo, Marko Condez!—highly encouraged me to join and make the most of my last FSY as a participant. Otw sa FSY facility, I was sitting alone in my bus seat, and when I noticed that we were close na sa facility, I silently prayed. I prayed that my choice to join FSY would be worth it. I prayed for answers to my questions, one of them being, “Is it the right time now to go and serve a mission?”

During the FSY workshops, the Lord did answer my prayers: “If ye have the desire to serve the Lord, ye are called to the work.” (D&C 4:3)

After FSY, I felt confident in myself—confident that I know the Lord will always be with me. This favorite scripture verse of mine helps remind me of that:

Alma 26:12
“Yea, I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore, I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in His strength I can do all things...”

I finally came to learn and understand what the youth theme meant last year: “Look unto Me; doubt not, fear not.” (D&C 6:36)

FSY is a perfect activity and a great time to get to know and be closer to our Savior, know our purpose, serve and love His children.

I testify that the Lord hears and answers our prayers. There is no isolated place in our life that the Lord’s light cannot reach. The Lord always has His arms extended, reaching for us. There has been a time in my life when I felt lost; my mind was clouded with doubts and fears. But as I trust the Lord, I came to understand and learn His plan for me. Na-realize ko na, through the trials I’ve experienced, He was refining and shaping me into the person He wants me to be.

I bear witness that feelings of unworthiness, loneliness, and getting lost ay hindi patunay na iniwan na tayo ng Panginoon. Bagkus, ito ay patunay ng Kanyang pagmamahal. Trials help strengthen our faith and testimony. They invite us to draw closer to the Lord and access His healing power.

I say these things in the sacred name of our King, Jesus Christ, amen!

From Imus 2nd Ward to the mission field—Sister Mari’s journey is a testament of faith, growth, and courage 🤍✨

“Just like other teenagers, I struggled to keep up with what the world offers. My first FSY was during the pandemic, and I thought it would be boring—but those 5 days changed everything. I began to see the beauty of the Gospel and gained my own testimony of Jesus Christ.
At my last FSY, I had a question in my heart: ‘Should I prepare to serve a mission?’ The desire was there, but I lacked the willingness. After that experience, I felt fulfilled, inspired, and ready. I held on to that burning desire—and now, I’m acting on it.
I know that Heavenly Father knows each of us by name. He understands our struggles and helps us become who we are meant to be.”

Our FSY Participant, Sister Calim from Parañaque 4th Ward shares her testimony on how FSY and the power of faith helped her to go on a mission.

Enduring to the end is the ultimate test of our faith, and while it is not easy in our time due to the pressures and temptations around us, I testify that if we stand for what is right, our challenges become bearable.

I know that if we follow the Lord, everything else will follow and we need not worry about our needs. Loving others as the Savior loves us eases the burden of loneliness in our struggles; I have felt this love personally through the help of others at church, FSY, and youth conferences. This Christlike love developed my desire to serve a mission and share the gospel, which comforts me when I am alone. I know that through prayer we talk to God, and through the scriptures, He answers us.

When my mission call brought challenges that tested my resolve, I returned to the beginning—remembering how the gospel changed me and how the Lord has blessed me on the covenant path. I want to share those blessings with all of Heavenly Father’s children.

I know this is the true Church, led by a living prophet and the restored gospel. I have seen how powerful prayer and scriptures are when paired with action, for faith without works is dead. Showing love to others is how I work with my faith.

This testimony is built on my experiences staying on the covenant path, which helps us become the better people the Lord wants us to be. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Sister Santillan from Las Piñas 1st Ward shares her testimony on what she learned from FSY and how it helped her preparing on a mission.

I still remember standing backstage during the musical program at FSY, serving as one of the narrators. As the choir began singing “I Will Walk With Jesus,” I felt the Spirit so strongly. One line especially stuck with me: “Standing by my Savior, safe within His care. Step by step I’ll follow, and His love I’ll share.”

At that time, I was going through a season of doubt. But as those words were sung, it felt as if the Savior was reaching into my heart, telling me that I am held in His love and that He will lead me every step of the way. The joy I felt was too great that I couldn’t help but want others to feel it too. That’s when I became fully decided to serve a mission.

I am deeply grateful for FSY, because it didn’t just help me come to know the Savior more. It opened my eyes to see myself and others as He sees us, as children of God who are known, cherished, and never forgotten. And through serving others, we get to show that same love in action.

I’m deeply grateful for the chance to let God work through me, to serve others, and to open my own heart to His love. Walking with Him in service allows His light to shine through us, bringing hope to those who are struggling, joy to those who feel lost, and a peace that can only come from Him.

I testify that Jesus Christ lives. I testify that His gospel is true, and that His Church has been restored to guide, teach, and bless all of God’s children. And I testify that as we walk with Him, He will be there in every step, lifting us when we fall, comforting us when we struggle, and helping us reach our divine potential.

I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Sister Hannah Valera- Absalon from Las Piñas Ward shared her testimony on how FSY helped her to prepare for the future that led him to marry her eternal companion.

“After FSY, we started preparing seriously for our wedding as we both agreed to have just a simple and intimate wedding. Our main goal is to be sealed in the house of the Lord this year.

Days and weeks passed by and I got subtly swayed into having a grand and well-attended celebration while doing research through social media and attending bridal fairs (we attended a few with the initial intention of making us feel discouraged because of the astronomical expenses. However, the nice and pretty stalls and unique offerings got me to want them on our wedding). "It's a once in a lifetime experience", the bride in me insists. In my mind, I'm thinking of delaying the wedding a bit while we save some more. It was during these times that the FSY theme keeps popping in my mind-To look unto Christ, doubting not, fearing not. It pains me not being able to invite a lot of friends, especially the elder family friends, fearing their reactions. It's a special milestone in my life, of course they want to be there. With Jonash reminding me of our goal, the FSY theme became my anchor, putting it into action.

A few months later, I was faced with a terrible family health problem. My angel mom, my best friend was diagnosed with the big C. The reality of it hit hard with all the hospital visits, the operation, the chemo sessions, the variety of medicines she takes, the hospital and medicine bills, the gloomy atmosphere we feel at home. Again, it got me to think of delaying the wedding since if everything will go well, we have high hopes that she will be completely healed by the following year and by then we could have the wedding with everyone healthy and happy. It took a lot of pondering and wrestling with the Lord. With Jonash reminding me of our goal, I tried very hard to completely look unto Christ, doubting nothing, fearing nothing.

A few days before the wedding we faced a couple of hiccups even on the day of the wedding itself where a technical issue came up that significantly delayed our wedding. Surprisingly, at that time, I felt at peace, literally 0 worries as I felt confident that all will be well (actually, I felt more worried with my lego bouquet missing several pieces already than the predicament we were having lol).

We're two weeks into our marriage now and still in the bubble. We're grateful for the Lord's tender mercies we have received and continue to experience in our lives. We're so much grateful for the overflowing love and support we are receiving from the people around us. With the lessons we've learned during the wedding preps, we will continue to look unto Christ, doubting not, fearing not.”

Another FSY Counselor, Sister Ysabelle Moore from Imus 2nd Ward, also shared her testimony on how FSY impacted her mission journey

"I am so glad that I became one of the councilors in FSY and to Ate Shara for recommending me to be one, I'm thankful to my AC and co-councilors making my Journey as a Councilor in FSY Fun, and grateful to the youth that we've handled, they became an instrument to strengthen my testimony and a new found joy to serve others.

At first, I was really worried na Hindi ako magiging magaling na councilor Kasi 2 beses lang ako naka-attend sa training, despite knowing our scriptual theme

D&C 6: 36 " Look unto him in every thought, doubt, not, fear not"
but still deep inside there was still worries and fear creeping in, and my worries deepened when the youth I've handled same sa ugali ko, mga Introvert den, to the point Hindi Sila nag u-usap sa isa't-isa, nag aalala ako na Hindi Sila mag u-usap throughout the week, but I was proven wrong Kasi lahat Sila best friends na by 2nd day (kailangan lang Pala nila ng sleepover bonding sa dormitories nila).

Throughout the week, nakita ko Yung younger self ko sa kanila, madaming Tanong about the scriptures, about the Gospel, and eager to learn more, etc,. And I'm so delighted na isa ako sa mga instruments ng Diyos para mapalakas Yung mga testimonies ng mga youth, Then Day 4 came, testimony sharing Day, I was delighted marinig Yung mga testimonies nila, my worries from Day 1 was proven that all of it was foolish. And I'm glad that I became one of their councilors.

Because of that, my desire to serve the Lord full-time strengthened. I discovered the joy of serving others and being an instrument of God to help others to gain and strengthen their testimonies of our Savior and Redeemer, and to help them discover the joy that dwells deep inside them

Of course, at first, I was very excited to apply for a mission. But later on, I started to experience doubts, expectations, and disappointments—which, as I’ve heard from other testimonies, is completely okay to feel. But most importantly, I feel blessed and excited to serve our dear Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and lastly I am Honored to work in his Vineyard.

I testify that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love each and every one of us. They hear us, and They will always be with us.

I know all that I have said is true. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen"

One of our counselors, Sister Ricci Valdez from Imus 3rd Ward shared her testimony on how FSY helped her in preparing on a mission.

"Hello my dear Brothers and Sisters, 🌸

I would like to share my testimony and express how grateful I am to have been part of FSY and to serve as a counselor. I learned so much from this FSY experience. I realized that this activity is not just a program made for youth to strengthen their testimony and faith in Jesus Christ but it was designed as well for the leaders. For me, FSY helped me build my testimony of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ and to better understand the love our Heavenly Father has for each of us as His children. I know He created this program because He wants each of us to feel His love and to better understand His gospel.

This activity helped me gain a broader understanding of Him and made His plan for us clearer in my mind. Because of this, my desire to serve a full-time mission grew even stronger. I gained a deeper understanding of my purpose, and FSY also became a kind of training ground for me—especially in learning how to handle the emotions and attitudes of others. As a counselor, I had the opportunity to guide many youth, each with their own personalities, and this experience helped me exercise Christlike attributes that I know I will need to apply during my mission with my future companions.

I learned patience, understanding, humility, and how to guide and support others when they need it. I also learned to love others—even those who are not part of my family. I know that during my mission, I will have the opportunity to love and help my new mission family, guiding them to come closer to Jesus Christ and His restored gospel, helping them return to the presence of our Heavenly Father.

I know that missionary work is essential and that it is one of the most important works in the world: gathering Israel and bringing back God’s lost sheep. I know that as we help others return to God’s presence, we too will be able to return to Him and experience eternal life with Him.

I love you, my brothers and sisters, and my desire to serve a full-time mission comes from that love—the same love that Heavenly Father has so generously shown me and I want to share that love with our brothers and sisters who haven't yet had the chance to receive the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ, helping them feel His love and guiding them closer to Him.

I know that this church is true, and that it is the only true church in the world. I testify that, and I want to leave these things in the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen."

Our Assistant Coordinator, Sister Meye Macanoquit from Kawit Ward shares her testimony on how FSY impacted her life to go on a mission.

"Building a testimony and strengthening conversion is not passive; it requires diligent and joyful effort.

Participating in Church programs, especially FSY, has played a significant role in strengthening my faith and my desire to serve the Lord and His children.

Through my experience as an FSY participant and later as an FSY leader, my testimony was shaped and my preparation to serve a mission was strengthened.

FSY helped me develop Christlike attributes, love the scriptures, and feel the constant companionship of the Spirit. Because of these experiences, my desire to fully commit my life to the Lord has grown.

I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ live, and that They are mindful of each of us. This life is full of challenges, but as we turn to Them and rely on the infinite Atonement of the Savior, life becomes full of meaning and a preparation for our eternal destiny with Them."
