Romans 12:19 (NIV) —
“Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: ‘Vengeance is mine; I will repay,’ says the Lord.”

Reflection
This verse teaches us to release the desire to repay hurt with hurt. Revenge can feel like the quickest way to heal our wounds, but it often deepens them. God calls us instead to trust His justice and His timing. When we try to avenge ourselves, we carry anger, bitterness, and restlessness. But when we surrender it to God, we make room for peace, healing, and restoration.
God sees every injustice, every silent hurt, and every wrong done against us. Nothing escapes His eyes. His justice is perfect—unclouded by anger, pride, or emotion. What we see as punishment, He may turn into redemption. What we desire as payback, He transforms into correction and grace.
Letting go is not weakness; it is an act of faith. It is believing that God will fight for us, defend us, and make things right in ways that bring glory to Him and freedom to us.
In the end, God’s promise frees our hearts from bitterness and positions us to walk in peace, forgiveness, and trust—knowing that justice belongs to Him, not us.
