The Roman Catholic Diocese of Maasin โ€“ Commission on Youth officially opens the Pre-Registration for the 8th Diocesan Young-Adult Congress (DYAC 2026), which will be held on August 1โ€“2, 2026, at the Immaculate Conception Parish, Hilongos, Leyte, the host parish for this yearโ€™s diocesan gathering of young adults from across the Diocese of Maasin.

Inspired by the theme, โ€œPurpose that Endures, Faith that Stands,โ€ this Congress seeks to gather young adults in a shared journey of faith, formation, communion, and mission, fostering deeper discipleship and renewed commitment to serving the Church and society.

Parishes throughout the Diocese are respectfully invited to send three (3) to five (5) qualified delegates to participate in this yearโ€™s Congress.

VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS | Grand Santacruzan 2026

As the Flores de Mayo celebration reached its culmination, the faithful gathered in a joyful witness of Marian devotion through the Holy Eucharist and the traditional Santacruzan procession.

More than a cherished tradition, the celebration served as a reminder of Maryโ€™s example of faith and her constant call to lead us closer to Jesus Christ.

SANTACRUZAN 2026 | To conclude the month-long celebration of Flores de Mayo, parishioners and Marian devotees gathered in this year's culminating activity with the theme, "With Mary, We Lead the Youth to Jesus."

The celebration began with the Holy Mass presided over by Rev. Fr. Joseph D. Muego, SCJ, together with our parish priest, Rev. Fr. Garnet D. Quirong. Following the Mass was the traditional procession of queens, each bearing titles and virtues associated with the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The festivities continued with a short program at Plaza Rizal, where the participants' joy, dedication, and talents were showcased and appreciated by the whole community.

MEDICAL MISSION AND CHILDREN'S DAY | Last May 30, 2026, our young catechists and Marian devotees who faithfully participated in the month-long catechesis gathered as they are given appreciation for their dedication in attending catechetical sessions, praying the Holy Rosary, and honoring our Blessed Mother through prayer and devotion.

Children from the different chapels within our parish gathered in joy and fellowship as they celebrated Children's Day, fostering friendship, camaraderie, and a deeper sense of belonging within the parish and our religious community.

VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS | Opening Salvo of Flores de Mayo 2026

With hymns of praise and hearts full of devotion, the faithful of the Immaculate Concepcion Parish of Hilongos gathered last May 1 to begin this yearโ€™s Flores de Mayo celebration.

The Opening Salvo featured a Marian procession across the chapels, followed by the celebration of the Holy Eucharist and the first offering of flowers to the Blessed Virgin Mary โ€” a beautiful expression of faith, prayer, and filial love for our Mother.

May this Marian devotion continue to lead every faithful closer to Christ through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

AVE MARIA! | Last May 1, the faithful community gathered for the Opening Salvo of Flores de Mayo 2026.

The image of the Blessed Virgin Mary was solemnly brought in procession through the different chapels. Upon its arrival, the Novena and Flores de Mayo officially began, marking the start of this month-long Marian devotion.

The Holy Mass was presided over by Rev. Fr. Mark Arturo C. Sagrado and concelebrated by Rev. Fr. Demetrio C. Gedaya, Jr.
