THE SECOND DAY OF WAITING

Today’s Gospel reminds us through a simple parable:
One son said “No,” yet later went to work.
The other said “Yes,” but never followed through.

This challenges us to reflect on spiritual pride—the danger of believing we are righteous simply because of our words, while judging others as sinners. True faith is not proven by what we say, but by how we live and obey God’s will.

As we continue our Simbang Gabi journey, may we remain humble, open to conversion, and willing to act on our faith—not just speak of it. Let us prepare our hearts, not with pride, but with sincere repentance and loving obedience to God. 🕯️🤍

Let us come together as a community in faith, prayer, and hope as we prepare our hearts for the coming of our Savior. The 9 Days of Simbang Gabi are a treasured Filipino tradition—a journey of devotion, reflection, and anticipation that has guided generations in welcoming the birth of Jesus Christ.

Each evening of Simbang Gabi is more than just a Mass. It is a time to pause from our busy lives, to lift our prayers, and to reflect on the blessings God has given us. It is a time to strengthen our faith, renew our spirits, and unite with family, friends, and neighbors in joyful worship. As we light our candles and offer our prayers, may our hearts be filled with peace, hope, and the true spirit of Christmas.

We warmly invite everyone—young and old, near and far—to join us in this meaningful tradition. Come and experience the warmth of community, the comfort of prayer, and the joy of preparing our hearts for the greatest gift of all: the birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

On the final night, December 24, we will celebrate the Midnight Mass (Misa de Gallo), a solemn and joyous occasion marking the arrival of our Savior. Let us come together in worship and gratitude as we welcome Christmas with hearts full of love and faith.

May these nights of prayer, reflection, and celebration draw us closer to Christ, to one another, and to the spirit of giving that defines this holy season.

In this ever-changing world, where our paths barely cross and our faith slipping away from our hold, the Cabano Youth Ministry proudly present the Youth Camp 2024 with the theme, "Journeying Together, Rediscovering Faith." It's an opportunity for us to come together and embark on a journey and reconnect with our faith towards Him.

On behalf of the CYM family, we extend a warm invitation to all of our youth and the feeling young ones to join this momentous event.

LET'S SIGN UP YOUR TEAM!

Good day everyone! Cabano Youth Ministry is humbly asking for your kind participation and cooperation for a worthy cause.

The Cabano Youth Ministry in collaboration with the Sangguniang Kabataan Cabano will conduct a fundraising activity called One Day League (ODL) activity which opens for male volleyball players that is exclusive for all Guimarasnons. Our efforts focus on providing the needs for our beloved Chapel specifically buying audio-visual equipment. The event is scheduled to take place on the 29th day of December. Furthermore, we would like to emphasize that NO VARSITIES should be permitted to join the team. To secure your slot, we require a reservation fee that is non-refundable in case the team will cancel their participation.

There's no goodbye, it's just until we see each other next time. 🦋

How blessed and grateful we are to have spent nearly six years with you, Pads. Although it saddens us to see you go, we understand that life's journey often takes unexpected twists. We will always remember all of the laughter we have had together throughout the years you brighten our Sunday mornings. Un millón de gracias Fr. Roy, for sharing the word of God as well as for the inspirational, and motivational messages you've imparted to us. After the mass, we were always filled with enthusiasm; it's an overwhelming sense to go back home with a heart full of ease. Rest assured that the Cabano Youth Ministry will always be active and will continue to serve.
