And this time, the Youth and Young Adults & Professionals are coming together for the 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗚𝗜𝗚 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿!

With the theme “𝙂𝙡𝙤𝙬 𝙐𝙥 𝙂𝙤𝙙’𝙨 𝙒𝙖𝙮: 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙚𝙙, 𝙉𝙤𝙩 𝙅𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙄𝙢𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙙,” we’ll be reminded that the kind of change God desires for us goes deeper than appearances or self-improvement. When Christ renews our hearts and minds, our lives begin to reflect His character—and that’s the kind of glow that truly lasts.

𝗜𝗻 𝗮 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵, 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝘀𝘂𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗺 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲—𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵. How can suffering bring victory? How can dying lead to life? To many people, the cross doesn’t make sense.

But for those who believe in Christ, the cross is not weakness—it is the very power of God. Through the cross, Jesus defeated sin, offered forgiveness, and opened the way for salvation. What looked like defeat became the greatest victory in history.

“𝙁𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙙 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙧𝙤𝙨𝙨 𝙞𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙝𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙪𝙨 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙨𝙖𝙫𝙚𝙙 𝙞𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧 𝙤𝙛 𝙂𝙤𝙙.” — 1 𝘾𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙨 1:18

As young adults navigating careers, responsibilities, and big life decisions, it’s easy to be drawn toward what the world celebrates. Yet the gospel reminds us that 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝘂𝘀, 𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀, 𝗼𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁 and what He accomplished on the cross.

The message of the cross may not always make sense to the world, but for those who believe, it is the power that transforms lives.

𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧:
How does the message of the cross shape the way you live and make decisions today?

Lord, thank You for the power of the cross. Help me never lose sight of what Jesus has done for me, and teach me to live each day in the light of that truth. Amen.
