The book of Ecclesiastes teaches us that there is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven.

Recently, we experienced the strongest earthquake ever recorded in our nation's history. The 7.8-magnitude earthquake caused catastrophic damage to buildings, electrical infrastructure, railways, and telecommunications systems. Tragically, it also claimed the lives of some. Many families were displaced from their homes and sought refuge in evacuation centers. The continuous aftershocks brought fear, anxiety, and uncertainty to us all.

Yet in the midst of these challenging circumstances, God reminded us of who He is. He is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble. During this season, we can place our complete trust in Him. Though we may feel afraid, we need not live in fear, for we are held securely by our compassionate and faithful God in heaven.

With this assurance, we can find peace and remain steadfast. We can move forward with hope and extend a helping hand to others who are also in need of emotional and spiritual support during these difficult times.
