📖 SERMON REFLECTION: BLESSED TO BE A BLESSING (Genesis 12:2) 🙏✨
Have you ever stopped to consider why God pours His goodness into your life? The truth is powerful and life-changing: God blesses you on purpose, for a purpose! Blessing is not a payment for good behavior—it starts entirely with God, who is the source of everything. You cannot give what you don't have, so He fills our cups to overflowing. But remember: God never intended for His blessings to stop with us!
🌊 Are You a Lake or a River?
The Lake: Takes water in and keeps it. Because it doesn't flow, a closed lake eventually becomes stagnant and dies.
The River: Takes water in and passes it on, continuously bringing life wherever it goes.
You are not the lake; you are the river! 🌊 You are not the end-user of God’s blessings; you are the messenger in the middle. If God gave you water, it’s time to unlock the gate and let others drink! Remember, a candle loses absolutely nothing by lighting another candle. 🕯️❤️
🛠️ How to Be a Conduit of God's Grace
Being a channel of blessing doesn't require immense wealth; it requires a willing heart. God calls us to:
• Encourage the discouraged
• Help the needy
• Pray for others
• Share the Gospel
• Show kindness and love
Never underestimate small acts of kindness! God uses small things to create massive impacts. You can bless someone today through a kind word, a simple prayer, your time, your presence, or by offering forgiveness. When we bless others, we perfectly reflect the heart of God—who is inherently loving, generous, and compassionate.
🔎 A Challenge for Self-Examination
As we go through this week, let's look inward and honestly ask ourselves these three questions:
1️⃣ Am I using my blessings for God’s glory?
2️⃣ Am I actively helping others?
3️⃣ Am I becoming a blessing to my family, church, school, workplace, and community?
The Ultimate Truth: Blessing starts with God, flows through you, and proves itself when you give it away. Let’s make this our collective prayer today: "Lord, use me to bless someone today." 🙌 Challenge yourself to intentionally look for someone to bless this week, and watch how beautifully God works through your life!
