Yesterday, June 27, GMA Central celebrated the PCM (Public Campus Ministry) Day during Sabbath School, and ๐๐ฒ ๐ด๐ถ๐๐ฒ ๐ฎ๐น๐น ๐ด๐น๐ผ๐ฟ๐ ๐๐ผ ๐๐ผ๐ฑ for how the morning unfolded.๐๐ป
The congregation learned more about what PCM is, how it started, and why it matters to our church, through a short talk by our PCM Leader, and the reading of the PCM Mission and Vision by ๐ ๐ถ๐๐ฐ๐ต๐ฒ๐น ๐๐ฒ๐ฒ ๐ง๐ฒ๐น๐น๐ผ๐ฟ.
We thank our Associate Pastor, ๐ฃ๐๐ฟ. ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐บ๐ผ๐ป๐๐ถ๐ป๐ฎ, for his meaningful closing remarks, and Youth Elder ๐๐ฏ๐ฒ๐น ๐ข๐น๐ถ๐พ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ผ for praying over our students, student ministers/leaders, and schools.
We are especially grateful to two students who bravely shared their testimonies through a short segment โFaith in the Classroomโ. ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ป ๐ ๐ผ๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ด๐๐ฑ๐ผ, an incoming freshman, shared what he expects as he enters college and how his past experiences in high school have helped him stand firm in his faith. He looks forward to building a positive community around him and continuing to share the truth and power of God in this new season.
๐๐ผ๐ฒ๐น๐น๐ฒ ๐๐ป๐ป ๐ง๐ผ๐น๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ถ๐ป๐ผ, an incoming second year student, opened up about the real pressures of being surrounded by non-SDA, non-Christian classmates, feeling different, struggling to share her faith, and even doubting at times in a secular environment. She shared how a season of fear once made her stay silent about her beliefs, until God used the Vacation Bible Experience and Philippine Youth for Christ to remind her, in the words of Ellen G. White, that "๐ฌ๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ก๐ก๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ง, ๐ฉ๐๐๐ง๐๐๐ค๐ง๐ ๐ฌ๐ ๐ข๐ช๐จ๐ฉ ๐ฃ๐ค๐ฉ ๐๐๐๐ง." Anchored in Romans 12:2, she encouraged everyone that ๐ฃ๐๐ ๐ฒ๐
๐ถ๐๐๐ ๐๐ผ ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐บ๐ถ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐๐๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐ป๐ผ๐ ๐ฎ๐น๐ผ๐ป๐ฒ. Through these two testimonies alone, it became clear that there are many more young people quietly carrying the same struggles. This is exactly why PCM exists, to build a community where they don't have to face it alone.๐ฅ๐๐ก
Through the leadership of ๐๐ต๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ ๐ฉ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ ๐๐ฟ๐๐, but more importantly ๐๐ต๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐ด๐ต ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ต๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ผ๐ฑ working in and through her, PCM at GMA Central continues to grow stronger, actively building a community where students can walk together in faith. ๐ช๐ฒ ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐น๐ถ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ผ๐ฑ ๐ฝ๐น๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ ๐บ๐ถ๐ป๐ถ๐๐๐ฟ๐ ๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐ฎ ๐ฝ๐๐ฟ๐ฝ๐ผ๐๐ฒ: ๐๐ผ ๐๐ฎ๐น๐ธ ๐๐ถ๐๐ต ๐ผ๐๐ฟ ๐๐๐๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐, ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ป๐ด๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ป ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ถ๐ฟ ๐ณ๐ฎ๐ถ๐๐ต, ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ต๐ฒ๐น๐ฝ ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐บ ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ถ๐บ ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ ๐๐๐๐ฑ๐.
