As we prepare for the upcoming Vicariate Youth Day 2026, the Cross Visitation has officially begun and will journey through the 7 churches of the Divine Mercy Vicariate. ✝️

Yesterday, the Parish Youth Coordinating Council of El Salvador City warmly received the cross from the PYCC of Molugan. Thank you, PYCC Molugan, for the meaningful turnover and shared commitment in serving the youth. Special thanks also to Rev. Fr. Abril 3| BIYERNES SANTO: PAGPASIDUNGOG SA KRUS ☦️

Usa ka masulub-on nga paglakaw. Usa ka pahinumdom nga dili kita nag-inusara sa kasakit.

Kagahapon solemne. Kagahapon balaan. Kagahapon, ang gugma gilansang sa krus.

5 WAYS TO OBSERVE LENT: A CALL TO PRAYER, SACRIFICE, AND RENEWAL

Lent is a sacred season of grace, a time when the Church invites the faithful to grow in holiness through deeper conversion and sincere repentance. It is a forty-day journey of spiritual renewal that prepares our hearts for the celebration of Easter. During this holy season, we are called to turn away from sin and draw closer to God through meaningful practices that strengthen our faith and transform our lives. Here are five ways to observe Lent with devotion and purpose.

First, go deep in prayer. Prayer opens our hearts to God’s presence and allows us to listen to His voice. Through daily prayer, meditation on Scripture, and moments of silence before the Lord, we strengthen our relationship with Him and seek His guidance in our lives.

Second, participate in the Holy Mass. The Mass is the highest form of worship, where we encounter Christ in the Word and in the Eucharist. Attending Mass more frequently during Lent nourishes our souls and unites us more deeply with the saving sacrifice of Christ.

Third, practice almsgiving. Charity is an expression of love for God and neighbor. By helping the poor, serving those in need, and sharing our blessings, we reflect God’s compassion and become instruments of His mercy in the world.

Fourth, go to confession. The Sacrament of Reconciliation restores us to grace, heals our wounds caused by sin, and renews our friendship with God. Through sincere repentance and confession, we experience God’s boundless mercy and forgiveness.

Fifth, join a retreat. A retreat provides time for reflection, silence, and spiritual renewal. It allows us to step away from distractions, examine our lives, and grow closer to God in a deeper and more meaningful way.

May these practices guide us to true conversion of heart and lead us closer to God throughout this holy season.

BRING YOUR BLESSED PALMS TO CHURCH

As we get ready for Ash Wednesday, we invite everyone to bring their old palm fronds (palaspas) to their parishes before Ash Wednesday. These blessed palms will be burned and used to make the ashes we receive, reminding us of repentance, humility, and our call to return to God.

Bring your blessed palms and take part in this meaningful Lenten preparation.

THIS FEBRUARY, LOVE LIKE JESUS

This February, let us love as Jesus loved at the Cross, giving ourselves fully and faithfully to God’s will. May His sacrifice inspire our hearts to show mercy, forgive, and serve others with charity. Through prayer, the sacraments, and humble acts of love, let us unite our hearts to Christ and share His saving love with the world.
