During Asaph’s time, under the old covenant, entering God’s presence meant distance and fear, but through Christ’s finished work, the curtain was torn and we can now come near.

Through the Holy Spirit, we are God’s temple. Wherever you are—exhausted, frustrated, or overwhelmed—you can enter His presence.

Asaph almost stumbled when he saw the wicked prosper (Psalm 73:1–14) until he entered God’s sanctuary (Psalm 73:16-17).

Nothing outside changed, but his perspective did. Meeting God face-to-face shifted his eyes from the temporary to the eternal.

Sometimes, we don’t need changed circumstances; we need God’s presence to give us a changed perspective.

Don’t let the broken world around you corrupt your character—remain honest, faithful, and committed to doing what is right even when compromise seems easier. The prosperity of the wicked may seem like victory today, but it is temporary and will ultimately fade according to God’s timeline.

Following Jesus isn’t about gaining comfort, it will cost you something. There will be sacrifice, suffering, and moments when it will be inconvenient. But the cost of following Him will never outweigh the worth of knowing Him.
