New Ground, New Life: Evangelistic Victory in Sitio Datu Mansinao-an
God’s Word triumphed once again as a week-long evangelistic effort in Sitio Datu Mansinao-an resulted in 37 souls surrendering their lives to Christ through baptism. Held at the community’s multi-purpose hall—where hundreds gathered nightly—the series powerfully proclaimed the everlasting gospel in this newly entered territory straddling the boundary of Laak, Davao de Oro, and Kapalong, Davao del Norte.
Pr. Brayan Ybanez served as the main speaker throughout the week, with Pr. Jeong Nietes delivering a stirring Sabbath message. Their efforts were strongly supported by Bible Worker Bro. Harry Gementiza, whose faithful groundwork and follow-up were vital to the series’ success. United in mission, brethren from Datu Davao Church, Datu Amogad, Datu Ampunan, and Melale Center came in full support—strengthening both the spiritual and logistical aspects of the program.
The week concluded in a spirit of rejoicing as Pastor Diego Balanza, Sabbath School and Personal Ministries Director of North Davao Mission, led the baptismal rite in the cool, flowing waters of the Lapangon River—sealing 37 precious decisions for Christ.
The Sabbath afternoon was filled with additional moments of spiritual significance, including a child dedication and the blessing of motorcycles used for gospel work in remote territories. The program also featured a special missionary send-off for Bro. Guillermo Maturan and Bro. Julito Hikilan, who were officially commissioned to begin pioneering work in Sitio Kabkab—another unentered community now being prepared for the message of salvation.
This wave of spiritual progress was made possible through the dedication of Bro. Erning Saguiwan, whose pioneering efforts opened the door for the gospel’s entry into Sitio Datu Mansinao-an. With plans underway to purchase a church lot for the new congregation, the flame of faith continues to grow—lighting the way for more souls in the highlands.
Truly, the mission is alive. The Spirit is moving. And the work goes on—one soul, one village, one frontier at a time.
