🕯️✨ First Advent Candle – The Candle of Hope ✨🕯️

Karong pagsiga sa unang kandila sa Adbiyento, atong pasidunggan ang kahayag nga nagtimaan sa pag-abot sa Manluluwas. Kini nga kandila nagrepresentar sa Paglaum—ang unang gasa nga gihatag sa Diyos sa katawhan samtang sila nagpaabot sa Mesiyas.

Samtang mosiga ang kandila, atong ihatag ang atong mga kasingkasing diha sa Ginoo. Sa kahayag niini, atong makita ang saad nga dugay na natuman:
Nga Siya moanhi aron hatagan kita og kaluwasan, kalinaw, ug kahayag nga dili gayod mapalong.

Sa kalibutan nga puno sa kasubo, kasamok, ug kahadlok, ang unang kandila nag-awhag kanato sa pagdili og kabalaka, tungod kay ang Ginoo nagpadala og paglaum nga dili malimad. Bisan unsa kadagko sa atong mga pagsulay, ang kahayag sa Kristohanong paglaum mas kusgan kay sa tanang kangitngit.

Hinaut nga ang pagsugod sa Adbiyento magdala kanato:
🕯️ Paglaum nga gikan sa Ginoo ug dili sa kalibutan
🕯️ Kusog sa pagpadayon bisan lisod
🕯️ Kasingkasing nga andam modawat sa pag-abot ni Kristo

Samtang nagpaabot kita sa pagsaulog sa Iyang pagkatawo, atong ipadayon ang pag-ampo, pag-alagad, ug pag-andam sa espiritu.
O Ginoo, among kahayag ug paglaum, uban kami niini nga panahon sa Adbiyento.

🌹 October: Month of the Holy Rosary 🌹

As we enter the beautiful month of October, the Church invites us to renew our devotion to the Holy Rosary — a powerful prayer that brings us closer to God through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary. 🙏✨

The Rosary is not just a repetition of prayers, but a meditation on the life, love, sacrifice, and glory of Jesus Christ. It is our weapon against fear, our source of strength in trials, and our comfort in moments of doubt.

We encourage all sectors of our community — families, youth, parents, students, workers, the elderly, and organizations — to make time each day to pray the Rosary. Even a few quiet minutes dedicated to prayer can bring peace to our hearts and blessings to our homes.

This month, let us unite our intentions as one barangay and one family in faith:
💖 For good health of body and soul, especially for the sick and those who care for them
☮️ For lasting peace in our community, our nation, and the world torn by conflict and division
🤲 For forgiveness — that we may learn to let go of hatred and heal broken relationships
🌿 For humility — that we may serve one another with love and simplicity, following the example of Christ and Mary

Through the daily recitation of the Rosary, may we grow in faith, hope, and charity. May our prayers become seeds of healing, reconciliation, and unity that will flourish in our homes and in our community.

“Proclaiming the Word, Living the Word”

The Basic Orientation Seminar and Renewal of Commitment for Lectors of the Immaculate Conception Quasi Parish – Elizalde was successfully held on May 29–30, 2025, at the ICQP.

Lectors play a vital role in the liturgy as bearers of God’s Word, tasked not just to read, but to proclaim with faith, reverence, and clarity. They are called to live what they proclaim — becoming witnesses of the Word both in and out of the Church.

This two-day formation was graced with the participation of 47 new lectors who underwent their basic orientation, and 111 lectors who renewed their commitment to serve. It was a meaningful time of reflection, learning, and spiritual renewal.

Let us continue to pray for all our lectors as they grow in service, faith, and love for the Word of God!

With great joy, the Diocese of Tagum officially welcomes Rev. Fr. Rene Sitjar, a former priest of the Cavanis Congregation, who has now been incardinated into our diocese through the Decree of Incardination. This significant step marks his full integration into the clergy of the Diocese of Tagum, where he will continue to serve Christ and His Church in a new capacity.

Incardination is not just a canonical process but also a profound commitment—one that signifies Fr. Rene’s dedication to serving the faithful of our diocese. As he begins this new chapter in his priestly ministry, we pray that he may be strengthened by God’s grace, guided by the Holy Spirit, and embraced by the love and support of our diocesan community.

Let us welcome Fr. Rene with open hearts and fervent prayers! May his mission bear abundant fruit, and may he continue to be a beacon of faith, hope, and charity in our local Church.

This February 2, 2025, we celebrate the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord, also known as Candlemas. This special day reminds us that Jesus is the Light of the World and calls us to reflect on His presence in our lives.

We invite everyone to join us for the Holy Mass at 7:30 AM and to bring candles for the blessing of candles. Let us come together in faith, light our candles, and welcome Christ’s light into our hearts and homes.

This Sunday, we honor the Feast of the Epiphany, celebrating the journey of the Three Kings—Melchior, Caspar, and Balthazar—who traveled from distant lands to worship the newborn King.

Melchior, an elder with white hair and a long beard, brought gold, symbolizing Christ’s kingship.
Caspar, a young man with a ruddy complexion, offered frankincense, representing Christ’s divinity.
Balthazar, with dark skin and a regal presence, presented myrrh, foretelling Christ’s suffering and death.
Their story is one of faith, courage, and humility. Guided by the star, they recognized Jesus as the Savior, offering their treasures and their hearts.

As we reflect on their journey, let us ask ourselves: What gifts can we offer to Jesus in our own lives? Like the Magi, may we follow the light of Christ, bringing hope, love, and faith to all.

"The 1st day of Misa de Gallo marks the beginning of a cherished Filipino tradition that brings families and communities together in prayer and thanksgiving. As we gather in the early hours of the morning, let us reflect on the true meaning of this season—faith, hope, and the anticipation of Christ's birth.

Today is made even more special as we also celebrate Youth Day, honoring the vibrant energy, faith, and commitment of our young people who are the hope of our future. Their active participation in this sacred tradition inspires us to renew our faith and dedication to God and our community.

This novena of dawn masses is not just a celebration of our culture but also a reminder to strengthen our relationship with God and with one another.
