Homily | Palm Sunday

As we celebrate Palm Sunday, which marks Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem and the beginning of Holy Week, we are reminded that true love means offering ourselves to the one we love. Love is great, and it always comes with sacrifice.

While we are happy that we are loving, on this day, our Parish Administrator, Rev. Fr. Jason Abryl Y. Escote, reminds us:

“It is important also that we realize that a part of us is hurting because we are loving.”

Lector’s Ministry Pasalamat, Meeting and Evaluation
February 22,2026

With grateful hearts, we gathered not only to evaluate our service but to deepen our commitment to the ministry entrusted to us. Our meeting became a moment of reflection, growth, and renewed dedication. As Fr. Jayson Escote reminded us, lectors hold a vital role in the liturgy—not merely as readers, but as instruments through whom God’s Word is proclaimed with faith, clarity, and reverence.

“And the Word was made flesh” (cf. Gospel of John 1:14). This reminds us that the Word we proclaim must also be reflected in our daily lives. May we continue to serve not only with prepared voices, but with hearts transformed by the very Word we share.
