**A Reflection on IMPULSIVENESS in Our Words**
Words are born in the HEART before they pass through the lips. When spoken with LOVE and AWARENESS, they become instruments of HEALING, LIGHT, and PEACE. But when uttered IMPULSIVELY —without reflection or charity—they can WOUND, CONFUSE, and LINGER FAR longer than we intend.
SPIRITUALLY, impulsive words often arise from UNGUARDED EMOTIONS: ANGER, PRIDE, FEAR, or IMPATIENCE. In those moments, the soul speaks before wisdom has time to breathe. What escapes our mouth may not reflect our true self, but rather a passing storm within us. Yet ONCE RELEASED, words CANNOT BE TAKEN BACK; they TRAVEL, SETTLE, and sometimes BURDEN both the SPEAKER and the LISTENER.
SACRED TEACHINGS remind us that **SILENCE is also a form of LOVE**. To PAUSE before SPEAKING is an act of HUMILITY and SELF-MASTERY. It is in this PAUSE that the Spirit gently asks: *Is this TRUE? Is this NECESSARY? Is this KIND?* When we allow CONSCIENCE and COMPASSION to GUIDE OUR SPEECH, our words align with DIVINE PURPOSE.
Impulsiveness in speech teaches us an important lesson: GROWTH of the SOUL requires DISCIPLINE of the TONGUE. Each mindful word REFINES us. Each restrained word ELEVATES us. And each LOVING WORD becomes a QUIET PRAYER offered to the world.
May we learn to SPEAK LESS in HASTE and MORE in GRACE. May our words be SEEDS of PEACE, not THORNS of REGRET. And when we fail—as all humans do—may REPENTANCE soften our HEARTS and teach us to speak again, this time with LOVE.
