MGA CATHOLICS, DAPAT ALAM NATIN ITO!
Mateo 16:18-19
At sinasabi ko sa iyo, ikaw ay Pedro, at sa ibabaw ng batong ito ay itatayo ko ang aking iglesya at ang kapangyarihan ng kamatayan ay hindi magtatagumpay laban sa kanya. Ibibigay ko sa iyo ang mga susi ng kaharian ng langit. Ang ipagbawal mo sa lupa ay ipagbabawal sa langit, at ang ipahintulot mo sa lupa ay ipahihintulot din sa langit.”
- Itinayo ng ating Panginoong Jesucristo ang kanyang iglesya kay San Pedro Apostol, siya ang una at bukod tanging binigyan ng mga susi ng kaharian ng langit (authority). Maliwanag din na isang iglesya lamang ang itinayo ng ating Panginoong Jesucristo.
- Sa Old Testament pa lamang ay mayroon ng nakasulat patungkol sa nasabing authority.
Isaias 22:21-22
Siya ang pagsusuutin ko ng iyong buong kasuotan, ibibigay ko sa kanya ang iyong kapangyarihan, siya ang magiging ama ng mga taga-Jerusalem at ng mga taga-Juda. Ibibigay ko sa kanya ang susi ng sambahayan ni David; walang makakapagsara ng anumang buksan niya, at walang makakapagbukas ng anumang sarhan niya.
- Sa Juan 21:15-17, mababasa natin na pinagkatiwala ng ating Panginoong Jesuscristo kay San Pedro Apostol ang pagpapakain sa kanyang mga tupa.
Juan 21:15-17
Pagkakain nila, tinanong ni Jesus si Simon Pedro, “Simon, anak ni Juan, iniibig mo ba ako nang higit sa mga ito?”
“Opo, Panginoon, alam ninyong mahal ko kayo,” tugon niya.
Sinabi sa kanya ni Jesus, “Kung gayon pakainin mo ang aking mga batang tupa.” Muli siyang tinanong ni Jesus, “Simon, anak ni Juan, iniibig mo ba ako?”
Sumagot si Pedro, “Opo, Panginoon, alam ninyong mahal ko kayo.” Sabi ni Jesus, “Alagaan mo ang aking mga tupa.”
Pangatlong ulit na tinanong siya ni Jesus, “Simon, anak ni Juan, mahal mo ba ako?”
Nalungkot si Pedro sapagkat tatlong beses siyang tinanong ng, “Mahal mo ba ako?”
At sumagot siya, “Panginoon, alam po ninyo ang lahat ng bagay; alam ninyong mahal ko kayo.”
Sinabi sa kanya ni Jesus, “Pakainin mo ang aking mga tupa.
- Tayo ang mga tupang pakakainin ni San Pedro Apostol. Ang ipakakain niya sa atin ay mga aral at karunungan mula sa ating Panginoong Jesucristo.
- Dapat malinaw po sa atin na ang Panginoong Jesucristo ang founder ng Simbahang Katolika. Si San Pedro Apostol ang unang Santo Papa at ipinagpatuloy sa kasalukuyang panahon sa pamumuno ni Pope Francis.
