And yet again God has provided!!!

We asked God to send sponsors for the 5 kids of Hope For Tomorrow in Danao, Cebu and God delivered. For the whole school year of 2023 - 2024, these 5 kids and their families will have their needs met because of the generosity of the kids of Northside Church of Christ in Nashville, TN.

We are extremely grateful to Megan Swanger for spearheading the fundraising at their VBS. Thank you Megan. Thank you Northside Church of Christ. And above all, thank you Most High God for your goodness! You never fail!

We are so proud of the achievements of our students. The pandemic created a lot of obstacles to an already challenging education system in the Philippines. The socially-driven students were forced to go online for the majorityof the school year. And while internet connectivity is readily available, the connection is torturously snail-pace. Most of them got creative using their smartphones in place of desktop computers. In spite of the obstacles, they thrived like resilient Filipinos that they are.

Congrats to Darlyn Mae, Kimberly Faith, and Kristine Mangas. We're very proud of your achievements!

Our scholars in Danao and some teens from Church got a little treat -fellowship meal served in native style. On a banana leaf, steamed rice and pieces of deep fried fish and chicken "adobo" are spread evenly. This is very seldom done in the cities now-a-days. But in "provinces" and in mountainous areas of the Philippines, this style of serving food is pretty common as a fun way getting together and, most importantly, to signify camaraderie. Why? You eat together from a single "leaf platter" using your very own hands. In Cebuano it's called "Kinamot." In Tagalog, "Kamayan."

In December of 2019 Netherland Church of Christ in Rickman, TN helped launch Hope For Tomorrow's first satellite in Danao City, Cebu, Philippines. They are the main supporters of the 5 scholars in this site.

The families of these 5 students are truly blessed. Not only them but as well the congregation, Danao Church of Christ, who serves as the center for this satellite. Danao Church became the active hands and feet of Christ in helping families and their children dream possibilities and brighter future through God's provision. Both the families and hosting congregation are blessed beyond measure.
