May 22 | Feast Day Mass of St. Rita of Cascia 🌹✨
Today, the faithful community gathered at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral, Archdiocese of Cotabato, to joyfully celebrate the Feast Day Mass in honor of St. Rita of Cascia, the beloved patroness of impossible causes, peace, patience, and unwavering faith.
The Holy Mass was solemnly presided over by Rev. Fr. Charlie Seloterio, DCC, Parish Director of the Immaculate Conception Cathedral, whose inspiring message reminded everyone to remain steadfast in prayer and hopeful in every circumstance, just as St. Rita faithfully carried her cross with love and trust in God. The celebration became a moment of spiritual renewal and unity for all devotees and members of the community. Through the life and example of St. Rita, we are reminded that true holiness is found in humility, forgiveness, sacrifice, and complete surrender to the will of the Lord. Despite the sufferings she endured, St. Rita remained faithful until the very end, becoming a shining witness of God’s mercy and love.
As part of this meaningful celebration, the OAD Lay Community lovingly offered roses to St. Rita, symbolizing prayers, gratitude, hope, and the faithful intentions of every devotee. The roses serve as a beautiful reminder of the miracle associated with St. Rita and the blooming grace of God in the lives of those who trust in Him wholeheartedly. May this Feast Day continue to strengthen our faith and inspire us to become instruments of peace, compassion, and devotion in our community. Through the intercession of St. Rita of Cascia, may all impossible causes be lifted to the Lord with courage and confidence.
“O glorious St. Rita, advocate of the impossible, pray for us and lead us closer to Christ.”
