The second day of the DCC Monthly Meeting began with the celebration of the Holy Mass presided over by Archbishop Emeritus Angelito R. Lampon, OMI D.D., reminding the clergy of their bond of fraternity and brotherhood, strengthened through this meaningful gathering in faith and communion.

During his homily on the Memorial of Mary, Mother of the Church, Archbishop Charlie M. Inzon, OMI, D.D. encouraged the clergy of the Archdiocese of Cotabato to make the Blessed Virgin Mary their companion in the journey of priesthood and pastoral leadership.

“Journey with the Blessed Virgin Mary, especially in difficult times,” the Archbishop reminded the priests, emphasizing Mary’s maternal presence, guidance, and intercession as they continue their mission of serving the Church and the People of God with faith, courage, and hope.

As part of the celebration of the 𝟔𝟎𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐢𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐚 𝐨𝐟 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡, Lebak, a 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 was conducted today, bringing healthcare services and assistance to the faithful and the local community.

This initiative reflects the Church’s mission of compassion and service, reaching out especially to those in need through acts of charity, healing, and solidarity.

​Today, on the Monday after Pentecost, we celebrate a beautiful and profound feast instituted by Pope Francis in 2018: the Memorial of Mary, Mother of the Church.

​As we just celebrated the birth of the Church at Pentecost, we look to Mary, who stood faithfully at the foot of the Cross and prayed fervently with the Apostles in the Upper Room. In those moments, Jesus gave her to us as our Mother, and she continues to guide, protect, and love the Church as a family.
