Mark 10:28-31 Reflection

"We left everything to follow you!" – Peter

Peter was being real with Jesus. He and the disciples gave up their boats, jobs, and normal lives. Maybe you’ve had to give up something too to follow Jesus: time with friends, a habit, or doing what’s popular.

Jesus answers with a big promise: _No one who sacrifices home, family, or fields for Me and the Gospel will go without reward_. You’ll get 100x more, not just later in heaven, but even now. That means new family in the Church, deeper purpose, and joy that the world can’t give.

In John 17:11b-19, Jesus prays for His followers to be protected and unified through God’s truth. For youth, this passage is a powerful reminder that you are called to be "in the world but not of it"—navigating peer pressure and social media while standing firm in your unique, positive values

John 16:5-11 tells youth that Jesus’ departure was necessary to send the Holy Spirit—a constant "Helper" or "Advocate" who guides, strengthens, and convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. It assures young people that even when feeling lonely, uncertain, or facing challenges, they are never truly alone and have spiritual guidance.

In John 14:27-31a, Jesus promises a profound, inner peace—not based on the absence of problems, but on His constant presence—designed to calm anxious hearts. For youth, this means choosing trust in God over the anxiety of school, social media, and future worries, relying on the Holy Spirit rather than worldly comfort.

With grateful hearts, we come together to express our deepest appreciation for the success of the 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐆𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐠 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲. Guided by our theme, “And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption” (Ephesians 4:30), this camp became more than just an event, it was a meaningful encounter with faith, unity, and spiritual renewal.😇 Salamat sa 𝐆𝐈𝐍𝐎𝐎 nga nagmalampuson kining maong kalihukan nga nahimong usa ka bililhon nga higayon sa paglig-on sa among pagtuo ug panaghiusa.
Dako usab ang among pasalamat sa among Parish Priest, 𝐑𝐞𝐯. 𝐅𝐫. 𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐞 𝐅. This wonderful experience would not have been possible without the generosity and support of many individuals and groups.🙌🏻

We are especially thankful for the donations and contributions that helped make every activity and moment possible for all our participants.🫶🏻

In John 6:30-35, Jesus tells youth that He is the "Bread of Life," satisfying spiritual hunger better than temporary worldly thrills like social media validation or popularity. Rather than seeking miracles or "signs," youth are invited to trust Jesus daily to fill their deepest needs for purpose and belonging. 😇

John 3:7b-15 challenges youth to look beyond human logic and experience a "rebirth" through the Holy Spirit. Like the wind, the Spirit acts freely, urging young people to surrender control and let God guide their lives. True life comes from trusting Jesus, who was lifted up on the Cross for our healing.

In John 20:11-18, Mary Magdalene’s raw grief at the empty tomb turns to joy when Jesus calls her by name. This demonstrates that Jesus meets us in our lowest, most confused moments, turning sorrow into a personal mission. We are called to stop clinging to old limitations and instead trust in the risen, active Lord who calls us personally.
Bring your tears, anxiety, and confusion to prayer, just as Mary did, knowing God is always in our side. And In moments of stillness, listen for Jesus calling you personally, not just generally.😇😇
