In line with the journey towards the centenary of the Archdiocese of Cebu in 2034 under the theme, β€œJourneying Together as a Church Fully Alive,” this year’s formation resonates with the 2026 thrust: β€œListening Church: Hearing God’s Voice and the Cries of His People.”

The gathering provided an opportunity for participants to deepen their understanding of their ministry as formators, renew their commitment to service, and reflect on their role in accompanying individuals and communities in faith. Through the sessions, sharing of experiences, and moments of prayer, participants were reminded that formation is not merely about imparting knowledge, but about listening, walking with others, and helping them encounter Christ in their daily lives.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who made this activity possible, our facilitators, organizers, host parish, and all participants whose presence enriched the gathering. May the insights gained and the friendships formed continue to inspire us in building vibrant Basic Ecclesial Communities and a more synodal Church.

As we continue our journey together, may we always remain attentive to the voice of God and responsive to the needs of His people.

"Called to be formed, formed to serve, and sent to proclaim Christ."

CLERGY DISTRICT MEETING || Earlier this morning, the clergy of our district gathered for their monthly meeting at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Maslog, Danao City. The gathering served as an opportunity for the priests to strengthen their fraternal bonds, discuss pastoral concerns, and coordinate upcoming programs and activities within the district.

The meeting also provided a venue for collaboration and dialogue on matters affecting the life and mission of the Church, as the clergy continue to work together in serving the faithful entrusted to their care. Through these regular gatherings, our priests are able to share experiences, address common challenges, and support one another in their ministry.

Let us continue to keep our priests in our prayers, that they may be strengthened in their vocation and remain faithful instruments of God's love and mercy in the communities they serve.
