PANALIPAN, CATMON FIESTA 2026 || In joyful celebration of St. Joseph the Worker, the parish community of Panalipan, Catmon gathered in faith and thanksgiving.

The Fiesta Mass was celebrated by Cebu Archbishop Alberto S. Uy, DD, together with Rev. Fr. Rabi Mabala, Parish Priest, and visiting clergy.

Parishioners and devotees honored their patron saint through the Holy Eucharist, reflecting on the dignity of labor and the example of St. Joseph’s humility, faith, and obedience.

The fiesta spirit was truly alive as the community united in prayer, devotion, and celebration, strengthening bonds of faith and fellowship.

LAWAAN FIESTA 2026 || Earlier today, Cebu Archbishop Alberto S. Uy, DD celebrated the Fiesta Pontifical Mass of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Lawaan, Danao City, Cebu.

With him were Rev. Fr. Mel John Coraraton, Parish Priest, together with visiting priests who joined in this meaningful celebration.

The Eucharistic celebration gathered parishioners, devotees, and guests in honoring St. Joseph the Worker, the patron saint of laborers, highlighting the dignity of work and the value of faith in daily life.

The vibrant spirit of the fiesta was felt through the active participation of the faithful, whose devotion and unity continue to strengthen the parish community. The celebration also served as a reminder of St. Joseph’s humility, obedience, and unwavering trust in God, virtues that inspire the faithful in their own journeys.

Happy Anniversary, Bishop Boy!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! | Today, we joyfully celebrate the 60th anniversary of priestly ordination of His Excellency, Most Rev. Emilio “Boy” Bataclan, Auxiliary Bishop Emeritus of Cebu.

For six decades, his life has stood as a quiet yet powerful witness to faithful service, humble leadership, and steadfast love for the Church. We thank God for the gift of his ministry — a life poured out in service of God and His people.

As he continues his journey, we entrust him to the Lord with grateful hearts, praying that he may be blessed with renewed grace, enduring strength, and good health in the years ahead.

THE ASSEMBLY ELECTED ITS NEW OFFICERS | Following the workshop, the assembly elected its new leadership team, naming Vince Bustamante as Coordinator together with Clifford Guardiario as Assistant Coordinator, Sem Montecillo as Secretary, Mike Beduya as Treasurer, and Sophie Lepiten as Auditor. The newly elected officers will lead the assembly in planning and implementing upcoming programs and activities, while fostering collaboration among members and strengthening the group’s mission and objectives.

With the new set of leaders, the assembly looks forward to a renewed commitment to service, active participation, and continued growth in the coming months.

WORKSHOP EMPOWERS SOCCOMM PARTICIPANTS | Participants of the District 7 Social Communications Ministry seminar-workshop sharpened their technical skills during a hands-on training during the afternoon session, led by the Cebu Archdiocesan Digital Communications Ministry at Academia de San Agustin in Carmen, Cebu, on March 14.

The event featured specialized tracks in writing, photography, live streaming, graphics, and video editing designed to enhance the ministry’s reach and storytelling capabilities.

Attendees expressed deep gratitude for the opportunity to grow, feeling inspired and better equipped to serve their respective parishes through modern digital mission.

MEDIA FOR EVANGELIZATION | With the mission of empowering the digital frontliners of the faith, District 7 Social Communications Ministry, in partnership with the Cebu Archdiocesan Digital Communications Ministry (CADComM), held a seminar-workshop on March 14, 2026.

Over a hundred parish media volunteers gathered at the Academia de San Agustin in Carmen, Cebu where they were taught on the essentials of digital ministry.

In the first plenary talk, CADComM Director Rev. Fr. Junel Fuentes emphasized that the essence of digital evangelization is sharing Christ's message, not accumulating viral engagement.

Afterwards, Ms. Carmelle Claire Therese Estenzo, CADComM Content Coordinator, shared vital insights on the organizational structure and the "how-tos" of maintaining a consistent media presence by sharing content samples and tips.

After a morning filled with insightful discussions, the session concluded with a sense of shared purpose. The delegates then took a well-deserved break to enjoy a festive lunch together, fostering fellowship before diving into the afternoon's hands-on activities.
