APPARITION OF SAINT CHARBEL IN THE PHILIPPINES 🇵🇭
A young Filipina woman was working as a helper for a Christian family in Lebanon. One day, her mother in the Philippines called her in tears and said:
“I may be seriously ill, and I am afraid these could be my last days. I wish I could see you again.”
The woman wept deeply because she could not travel home immediately. She had recently signed a two-year work contract, and her employers depended on her to help care for their two young children. In addition, most of her salary was already being sent home to support her family, and the sudden cost of an international flight was more than she could afford at that time.
Seeing her distress, the family tried to comfort her and suggested that she go and pray at the tomb of Saint Charbel. She agreed and went with them. She stayed there for two and a half hours, kneeling and praying with tears, saying:
“Saint Charbel, you know my situation. Please heal my mother so that I may see her again before she dies. You know my responsibilities and my limitations. I cannot travel to her now.”
She returned with the family, her eyes red from crying. When she arrived back in Beirut, her mother called her and said:
“Thank you, my daughter, for sending me a doctor from Lebanon.”
The woman replied, “I did not send anyone.”
Her mother insisted, “Yes, you did. He told me you sent him from Lebanon.”
The woman was shocked and asked, “What did he look like? What was he wearing?”
Her mother replied, “He was wearing a black robe and had a white beard.”
She then asked, “What time did he come to you?”
Her mother answered, “At 1:30 in the afternoon.”
The woman began to cry and said, “That was Saint Charbel. At that exact time, I was kneeling and praying before his tomb.”
Saint Charbel had healed her mother in the Philippines.
God is glorified in His saints.
