A LETTER OF GRATITUDE AND HONOR
Honoring a Legacy of Faithful Service
Dear JCIL-EHM Family in Christ, Warm Christian greetings!
There are seasons in the life of a ministry when we are reminded that the work we enjoy today was made possible by the sacrifices, prayers, and faithfulness of those who served before us.
Today, we write to share something that is both solemn and joyful.
Two of our beloved District Heads, who have faithfully served the Lord and His Church for many years—even during the early days when our organization was only beginning to take shape—have formally submitted their notices of retirement from active ministry.
We would like to honor:
Outgoing District Head Incoming District Head
1. Ptr. Narding Dagasdas Ptra. Wilma Dagasdas
2. Ptr. Peter-Pering Calunsag Ptr. Hans Calunsag
Their years of service represent far more than a position or a title. They represent years of preaching, praying, traveling, visiting families, encouraging discouraged believers, standing with the brethren during difficult seasons, and continuing the work of the Lord even when the path was not easy.
In many ways, they helped build the foundation upon which the ministry stands today. And perhaps the most beautiful testimony of their ministry is the fruit they have left behind. Through their labor, multiple local churches have been established within their respective districts. Through their preaching and faithful witness, hundreds of souls have come to know and receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
This is what we believe fruitfulness looks like. Not merely what a person has accumulated, but what he has planted. Not merely what he has accomplished, but what continues to live because he served. Not merely how many years he held a position, but how many lives were touched, churches established, and souls brought to Christ because he said “yes” to the calling of God.
As our organization continues to take shape and strengthen its foundations, the leaders of the National Office believe that it is fitting for us to pause and honor the legacy of these faithful servants of God.
Therefore, we are humbly inviting every member of the JCIL-EHM Church to join us in expressing our gratitude by extending financial support as a retirement honorarium to these two beloved District Heads.
A SPECIAL INVITATION TO OUR LOCAL CHURCHES
Beyond our personal contributions, we are also inviting each local church in the JCIL-EHM family to conduct a special collection during its upcoming Sunday service dedicated to this cause.
We encourage our pastors, church leaders, and members to take this opportunity to come together as a congregation and collectively express our love and appreciation for these faithful servants of God.
This special collection is more than an offering—it is a corporate expression of gratitude from the churches they have helped build and from the family of believers they have faithfully served.
Whether given individually or collectively as a local church, whatever the Lord places in our hearts to give will be received with gratitude. No gift is too small when it comes from a heart that understands the value of faithful service.
This is not simply a financial gift. It is our way of saying:
“Thank you for serving.”
“Thank you for staying faithful.”
“Thank you for the churches you helped establish.”
“Thank you for the souls you helped lead to Christ.”
“Thank you for the years you gave to the Lord and to His people.”
We may never be able to fully repay the years they have given. But together, as a church family, we can give them something meaningful—a tangible expression of our love, appreciation, and gratitude for a lifetime of service. The Apostle Paul reminds us:
“Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and doctrine.”
— 1 Timothy 5:17 (NKJV)
As we honor them, may we also remember that the greatest reward for faithful service ultimately comes from the Lord Himself.
Our prayer is that these servants of God will enter this next season of their lives knowing that their labor was not in vain—that the churches they helped build, the lives they touched, and the souls they led to Christ are part of a lasting spiritual legacy.
They planted. Others will water. The generations that follow will continue to bear fruit. And for that, we give God all the glory.
