Last Sundayโ€™s worship service was a beautiful tribute to God and to the incredible women He has placed in our livesโœจ

One of our shepherds, Hazel Jose, shared a touching testimony during communion. She spoke about her journey from a place of resentment to becoming a source of love for her own family. โ€œI started saying โ€˜I love youโ€™ to my own mom when I became a disciple. I learned to love when I learned about Godโ€™s love.โ€

Clieford Ablin preached a stirring sermon titled โ€œHow to Deal with Opposition,โ€ drawing inspiration from Nehemiahโ€™s example of prayer and planning (Nehemiah 4) He left us with two important questions to carry into our week:
- Are you surrounded by people who strengthen your faith?
- What preparations are you making to get to heaven?

Celebrating faith, hope, love, and connectionโ€”our โ€œ๐‘ช๐’‚๐’Ž๐’‘๐’–๐’” ๐’‚๐’๐’… ๐‘บ๐’Š๐’๐’ˆ๐’๐’†๐’” ๐‘น๐’†๐’•๐’“๐’†๐’‚๐’•โ€ at La Luna Villa, Amadeo, turned summer into a story worth remembering!

Through every story, laughter, game, and meal shared, we didnโ€™t just enjoy one anotherโ€™s companyโ€ฆ we learned more about our church family, the importance of unity, and that ๐’˜๐’† ๐’…๐’๐’โ€™๐’• ๐’๐’†๐’†๐’… ๐’•๐’ ๐’ƒ๐’† ๐’‘๐’†๐’“๐’‡๐’†๐’„๐’• ๐’•๐’ ๐’‡๐’†๐’†๐’ ๐’๐’๐’—๐’†๐’….

Ultimately, it was a time to seek rest and renewal in God. Jesus was the perfect model for us; He often withdrew to quiet places to pray and spend time with the Heavenly Father before returning to His mission (Mark 1:35, Mark 6:31, Luke 22:39). During the retreat, our mornings were spent in intimate personal devotion surrounded by nature, and even sharing prayer walks together.โ˜€๏ธ

The 3-day retreat wrapped up with Sundayโ€™s Worship Service. EJ Duldulaoโ€™s sermon, titled โ€œ๐‘ถ๐’๐’† ๐‘ฉ๐’๐’…๐’š, ๐‘ถ๐’๐’† ๐‘ญ๐’‚๐’Ž๐’Š๐’๐’šโ€ (1 Corinthians 12:15-26), reminded us not to devalue ourselves and to embrace our place in the body. We are indispensable!

In this weekโ€™s midweek devotional, we were reminded what it means to have a heart fully willing to give everything to Jesus Christ. We looked at the story of Mary of Bethany, who poured out her costly perfume at His feet. While others called it a waste, God saw her love and devotion.

In the same way, when we pour out our time, talents, and energy for Him, we shouldnโ€™t let anyone convince us itโ€™s wasted. When our hearts are focused on Jesus and we choose to do what pleases Him, every sacrifice becomes beautiful in His eyes. ๐Ÿ’›
