Congratulations, Brothers! 🎉

Last February 21, 2026, nine Configuration-IV seminarians of the St. John the Evangelist School of Theology successfully defended their respective MAT theses. Among them are our brothers:

“The Theological Foundations of the Campamento de Monaguillos: Towards the Creation of a Proposed Manual of Instruction for the Diocese of Catarman.”

The Catarman Seminarians’ Organization joyfully unites in celebrating this achievement, offered for the greater glory of God and for the strengthening, enrichment, and continued formation fostered by the Campamento de Monaguillos (Altar Servers’ Camp), a program faithfully handled by the organization.

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

As we begin the year 2026, a new chapter unfolds before us, a year designated as the "Year of Grace" within our journey as a synodal Church. This special year invites us to deepen our communion with Christ, to walk together in trust and humility, and to discern God's will through actively listening and shared discernment.

The theme of grace reminds us that it is by God's abundant mercy and love that we are called to be His Church. Grace is the foundation of our faith, empowering us to grow in holiness, unity, and service. As a synodal Church, we are called to journey together, listening to the Holy Spirit in our midst, engaging in open dialogue, and embracing the diversity of gifts within our community.

This 2026, let us renew our commitment to walk together as one Body of Christ. May this year be a time of renewal, healing, and hope, a year to experience and share God's grace in our families, communities, and the world. Let us listen more attentively, speak kindlier, and act more compassionately, embodying the love of Christ in everything we do.

May the Year of Grace and Synodality inspire us to become a more inclusive, participatory, and missionary Church, one that listens to the cry of the poor, reaches out to the marginalized, and faithfully witnesses to the Good News.

May God's grace sustain us on this journey, and may the Holy Spirit guide us as we walk together in faith, hope, and love.

IN PHOTOS | The Catarman clergy proceeded to their Christmas party program right after the Holy Mass, celebrating the spirit of Christmas in joy and fraternity. The evening was filled with laughter and camaraderie as the clergy exchanged gifts, showcased creative presentations per vicariate, and enjoyed the excitement of scratching gift cards along with a fun-filled bingo. The gathering became a meaningful moment of rest, thanksgiving, and strengthened brotherhood among the clergy of the Diocese of Catarman.

On December 29, the clergy of the Diocese of Catarman gathered for their Christmas Party at John Paul Seminary. The evening commenced with a Holy Mass presided over by Rev. Fr. Fernando Bogtong, Vicar General of the Diocese.
