French President Francois Hollande arrived in the Philippines before noon Thursday, kicking off a two-day state visit focused primarily on the fight against climate change.

Feb. 26, 2015: His All Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I of Constantinople is expected to arrive today in the Philippines.

This will be the second time he visits the country. First time was 15 years ago and specifically between March 2 - 6, 2000 to consecrate the first Orthodox Cathedral in the Philippines, dedicated to the Annunciation of the Theotokos in Parañaque, Manila.

IOCC is also providing support for shelter repair to families left without a roof over their heads in hard hit Tacloban City, where thousands of homes were swept away by the 195-mile winds and torrential rain on November 8."
