Yesterday, God reminded us why we keep going. 🤍
Yesterday we did street preaching in Carigara, Leyte. At our last preaching point, our hearts grew a little heavy. The crowd seemed unresponsive, and despite pouring out our time, effort, and even resources just so people could clearly hear the Good News, we quietly wondered if anyone was really listening. Still, we preached, thanked those who stayed, and began packing up our microphones and speaker.
While we were packing up, we were talking to each other about how unresponsive the people were, and how discouraging it felt after giving our all, our time, our energy, even our finances, just to share the Gospel. In that moment, we were honestly questioning if what we were doing was making any difference at all.
Then God moved.
Out of nowhere, a young woman approached us. With a gentle smile, she told us not to be discouraged. She said that even if it seemed like people weren’t listening, some truly were. She thanked us for coming to Carigara, for sharing hope, and for boldly preaching the Gospel. She shared that at that very moment, she needed to hear God’s Word—to be reassured of His love and His presence in her life.
In that instant, our weariness turned into worship.
While we were questioning, God was listening, and He sent someone to remind us that this ministry is not in vain. What a beautifully organic and powerful encounter, orchestrated by God alone.
Thank You, Lord, for walking with us in this ministry.
To all pastors and disciples: never grow weary in doing good. Our calling is to faithfully share the Gospel; the changing of hearts and lives belongs to God.
“so is My word that goes out from My mouth: It will not return to Me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”
