Capas Ward History day: First from the Philippines

16 years ago today, Kenneth Edward Bacarro answered the call to serve the Lord as a full-time missionary. After receiving his mission call in February 2010 to serve in the Korea Seoul Mission under the leadership of President Lee Yong Hwan, Elder Bacarro departed the country, becoming the first missionary from the Philippines to go to serve in South Korea. His faithful missionary service became the foundation of a lifetime of discipleship. Today, he continues to serve with the same dedication as the first Stake Clerk of the Tarlac Philippines South Stake, remaining steadfast in the gospel of Jesus Christ and committed in building the Lord’s kingdom through his faithful service.

He mentioned, “Those 2 years of my life as a full-time missionary helped me a lot to become more faithful in the covenant path in spite of my imperfections but I know that through the Atoning sacrifice of our Savior, we can return in our Father’s presence. For me, my mission experience in Korea is sacred. It is the best decision I made that time, to serve Him and His children there. I testify that we are the disciples of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. We need to declare His word unto His children that they might have everlasting life. 예수그리스도 후기 성도 교회가 참된 교회 입니다.“

Nagsagawa ang Capas Ward ng isang simpleng paraan para maipadama ang pagmamahal at malasakit sa ating mga kapatid at IPs sa Capas at Navy. We can always offer a helping hand and a smile. It's being there is one simple way we can share the Savior’s love. The Lord invites us to notice those around us and become an answer to someone’s prayer.

Mosiah 2:17 “When ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God.”

Elder Ulisses Soares taught : Jesus Christ has His arms open to us every day. The heart of our Savior is full of love and mercy for us. He will sustain us in our times of need.

You are loved more than you can imagine. Yes, you will face challenges. We all do. But please remember this : there is nothing beyond the reach of the infinite atoning gift of our beloved Savior, Jesus Christ.

Capas Ward / August 16, 2026

Isang mapag palang linggo ang mulling naganap sa Capas Ward upang saksihan ang isang napaka halaga at sagradong binyag nina Sister Geraldine Patangui at Sister Kassandra Salunga.

Masaya ang aming mga puso at nagagalak sa kanilang desisyon upang maging bahagi sa Sion ng Diyos. Tandaan, na nalulugod ang Diyos sa mga taong nais siyang sundin.

Mabuhay at masaya kami na kayo ay Ganap ng Miyembro ng Ang Simbahan ni Hesu Kristo ng mga banal sa Huling Araw.
