As we begin the month of February, we come together in a spirit of prayer and reflection through our Saturday Devotion, a beautiful opportunity to deepen our faith and strengthen our devotion as a community. Tomorrow, we invite everyone to join our Dawn Procession in honor of Our Lady of Fatima at 4:00 AM.

Bring your candles for the traditional Blessing of Throats.

Saint Blaise said that anyone who lit a candle in his memory would be free of infectionโ€”this is why candles are used in this beautiful devotion. The candles (blessed on Candlemas, Feb. 2) are crossed against the throat as this prayer is said:
โ€œThrough the intercession of Saint Blaise, bishop and martyr, may God deliver you from ailments of the throat and from every other evil. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.โ€

All are invited to come and pray as we welcome Christ, the Light of the world.
This feast reminds us of Mary and Joseph presenting Jesus in the Temple, offering Him completely to God. The blessed candles symbolize Christ as our lightโ€”guiding us through darkness and calling us to shine His love in our daily lives.
