‎The CU - Muslim Students Association proudly congratulates Engr. Elmer Macabagul, CU-MSA Moderator, on successfully completing his 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴. RCO Presidents’ First Annual Meeting | SY 2026–2027

The Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) successfully conducted the first annual meeting of the Recognized Campus Organization (RCO) Presidents for Academic Year 2026–2027.

The meeting focused on key organizational matters, including the discussion of annual requirements for organizational recognition, the schedule and guidelines for Recruitment Week, and the election of the Federation of Recognized Campus Organizations (FRCO) Officers. These discussions aimed to ensure that all student organizations are well-prepared and aligned with university policies and objectives for the academic year.

Through collaboration and active participation, the RCO Presidents demonstrated their commitment to fostering vibrant, responsible, and impactful student organizations. As we begin another year of service and leadership, may we continue to work together in creating meaningful opportunities and experiences for the student community.

‎𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | On May 26, 2026, the CU-Muslim Students Association officially transferred donations to its sister organization in Iligan, the COMSA - Iligan Capitol College. These donations are intended to support their efforts in restoring the Prayer Room at Iligan Capitol College, which was damaged by Tropical Storm Basyang a few months prior.

‎May this act of giving serve as a means of earning Allah’s pleasure and easing the hardships of others.
‎
‎Additionally, CU-MSA representatives received a warm welcome from COMSA's President and were given a brief tour of the school campus. We sincerely appreciate his hospitality and kindness.
‎
‎We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to THINK-Center for their generous donation of Islamic books. Your support greatly contributes to our shared goals of education and community upliftment.

𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗹 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗘𝗔 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴

Capitol University held a coordination meeting in preparation for the arrival of two Indonesian education interns this July under the SEA Teachers Program, bringing together key university officials, coordinators, and student leaders to discuss preparations, responsibilities, student support mechanisms, and cultural integration activities to ensure a meaningful and welcoming international internship experience.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Amor Q. de Torres (Vice President for Academic Affairs), Dr. Ana Macatangay (Director, Office for Internationalization and Linkages), Sir Paul Juarez (Principal of CUBED), Atty. Francis Juarez (Director, Office of Student Affairs and Services), Dr. Andrews Maquiling (Dean, College of Education), Dr. Mercelita Labial (Coordinator, OIL), as well as the Presidents of the Student Council of Education and the Association of Muslim Students, highlighting a collaborative effort across academic, administrative, and student sectors in preparation for the program.

Imagine standing on a sacred hill, surrounded by fellow pilgrims from around the world, united in their devotion and faith.

The 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗿𝗮𝗳𝗮𝗵 is a day of spiritual rejuvenation and introspection for Muslims around the world. As the sun rises over the sacred hill, pilgrims from far and wide congregate to perform the rituals of Hajj. However, a lesser-known yet profound aspect of this day is the tradition of fasting. On this special day, the significance of fasting is palpable. As pilgrims abstain from food and drink, they immerse themselves in the spirit of compassion, empathy, and self-reflection.

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) stated:

"𝑭𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑫𝒂𝒚 𝒐𝒇 𝑨𝒓𝒂𝒇𝒂𝒉 𝒆𝒙𝒑𝒊𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒑𝒂𝒔𝒕 𝒚𝒆𝒂𝒓 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒚𝒆𝒂𝒓." [𝑴𝒖𝒔𝒍𝒊𝒎]

This emphasizes the immense reward of fasting on this day, which is considered a day of great spiritual merit.

As we reflect on the significance of fasting on the Day of Arafah, let us strive to emulate the example of the Prophet and seek the blessings of Allah (swt) on this sacred day.
